The Chinese are a force to reckon with in Athletics and Swimming nowadays. I really admire their Passion, Focus, Hardwork and Never Give Up attitude. They are never to be taken for granted, be it any sport.

They have passed doping tests conducted by authorized Olympic officials and have proved themselves to be sport enhancing drug free. There is essentially no feasible way to ensure that PEDs are kept out of athletics. That goes for steroids, as well as all the other chemicals. Steroids are just one category of many such substances, most of which you and I don't even know the names. The olympic tests are a joke. It's all for show. The athletes need to be "clean" of certain things for about one month, and one month only. That's it. And even then, many athletes (usually the ones without millions of dollars and professional support teams behind them) are busted each year. The Olympics are big money. There's billions of dollars at stake. Do you think the IOC is going to throw all of that away, is going to burn its own wallet, by intentionally turning the Olympics into a series of steroid scandals every single season? No. Are national governments going to discredit and embarrass themselves by busting their own athletes? No. They are not going to do those things. For the institutions that govern professional athletics, there are huge incentives to look the other way. Then, let's just take a look at professional athletics over the last 20 years. Football is full of steroids. Soccer is full of steroids. Boxing is full of steroids. Baseball and competitive bicycling are full of steroids. Even CURLING has top competitors getting caught using PEDs. Why is this the case? Because the drugs WORK. They don't "help a little bit." They make a massive difference. Even if you dedicate your entire life to a sport, you will unlikely be anything better than an average professional, at best, without drug use. So, for the athletes, there is a huge incentive to take the risk. At top level athletics, there is an unspoken understanding: if you want to win, you have to compete. You have to use every means at your disposal to win, and that definitely includes drugs. Nobody natural is taking home first place, because to do you have to beat a field of world class competitors who are drugged 11 months out of the year, if not more. Drugs or no drugs, I'm happy to see a Chinese athlete do well. Western countries are controlled by banks and corporations that have brainwashed everyone with cultural marxism to accept being replaced by third world immigrants. At least the Chinese government is not doing that to its own citizens. So more power to them.

I did hurdles, too. It is very unique to other sprinting events. I have a few scars on my knees as well. I got nervous a few times in the block and had to regain focus even more when another runner hit my hurdle or fell. It is quite a thrilling race and I loved it!

What's wrong with saying that? The US hurdlers were the fastest when Liu came through the ranks, so it would only make sense to look at what they were doing. It's not taking away from anything he achieved.

This video focused on the 2004 Athens games. Nobody expected Liu to win the gold. You could see from 4:43 to 4:51 he just ran around looking for somebody to celebrate with, and there's not a single person, before running into the judge.
