That's the thing I loved about hurrem. Over the series got into conflict with so many people. But she never let her children get involved nor did she ever tell them about it. She was indeed a great mother.
Sometimes that will be the main thing she missed, as we can see one who involved in those fights and fought with her and sacrificed with her, only it's mihrihmah and she is the one who lived her life powerfully as hurrem until last and all children were used by others or innocently killed.
Mehrima was involved in Mustafa's death. Where Mustafa never thought that she was his step sister and loved her as his own sister. But she thought him her brother's enemy and played major role in his murder.

This is one of my favorite things about Hurrem. I remember when Mahidevran left with Mustafa for a few years and one of the girls of the harem said to Hurrem “I bet you’re glad she’s gone, she was so disrespectful to you” and Hurrem was like “Don’t talk about your sultan like that and stay out of my business”

Hurrem won the battle. But Mahidevrian won the war ironically even after losing Mustafa. Hurrem's sons fought each other one murdered the other and *HER SON, Selim is blamed* and is seen as the cause of the Ottoman Empire starting to fail. Her legacy wasn't just being a Sultanate, it was also giving one of the worst Sultans in history. Yowza. Especially, if you stop to comsider that Mahidevrian was around to *witness* Hurrem's son go to pieces. If Hurrem, could have seen from the other side, she would've screaming in fury and humiliation. First of all , let me make it clear that I support neither Hurrem nor Mahi in this series (ofc this series is 80% fiction, they changed the story so much) , but I'll say my opinion based on the series . Mahi wasn't a wife. She was a concubine like many other girls in the harem . The difference was , she was the mother of first shehzada which gave her more power over other girls . In series , she tried to kill Hurrem when she was pregnant , started beating her when she lost her unborn child , deformed Hurrem's face , tried to sabotage Hurrem many MANY times . Babe you need to understand the situation , you also harmed many girls before there's no way you can get angry with another girl for doing the same thing to you . Not to mention , she tried to kill Hurrem when she was pregnant with Mehmed , finally killed Mehmed when he became an adult . She isn't a saint . Then their comes Hurrem . She did so many wrongs in this series, idk how she was in real life . All I know is , she was the first Haseki (sultan's legal wife and political advisor after Ibrahim's death , sultan didn't went to another woman after marrying Hurrem ) . She became a cold blooded killer in series . I understand that too ! She learnt that she needs to be a favourite for ruling over everyone . And she wasn't stealing anyone's man lol , that man wasn't for anyone . She just stole his heart being a concubine. But she was attacked so many times . Ibrahim pasha knew EVERY SINGLE THING that was happening to her but stayed silent, because he was power hungry too .
