IF, during the course of a protest, stuff is being damaged, set on fire and shops looted, this is not a protest it is a criminal enterprise. Policing should be concentrated on the criminal aspects AS THEY HAPPEN.

not only are hurricanes getting stronger much faster but because of higher levels of moisture from hot surface waters there is a lot more rainfall so flooding is more extreme. 20 years ago storms didn't carry as much rain as they do now. Sometimes even a tropical depression could dump loads of rainfall.
