@tree-jj4kc Climate change hysteria. All weather events are stronger, more frequent, rainier, windier, hotter, colder, dryer. We have all just managed to live through the 50 hottest years on the planet somehow. Just drive an EV and everything will be ok.
Won't Matter much, if it comes off of the Yucatan with even a little organization left or could hit the Hot Toilet bowl of the Gulf and go through rapid intensification. I've lived around Houston Texas most of my life and I'm almost 39 years old - if it doesn't go west and instead the eye hugs the coast but remains off shore for the most part then it can easily hit Cat 3 or higher until it finally makes landfall. Best case scenario is for this thing to immediately head West, but something is telling me that ain't going to happen and it's going to come this way and get stronger faster.
I've lived in Galveston County for 53 years. My first hurricane was Alicia in 1983. We evacuated in 2005 for Rita, which was horrendous. We've never and will never evacuate again. We didn't flood during Harvey, so bring on Beryl.
Cameron, Willacy, Hildalgo Counties,Texas √ definitely rain. Brownsville is in Cameron County. . More counties west of Hildalgo and North of Yucatan Peninsula,Mexico.
