Kari Uwu I'm sorry about your mom's dog, but there is ample warning when these storms are coming, so there is time to prepare. Is there a reason he wasn't able to be caught well ahead of time so he'd be safe?
For everyone that has to evacuate, The NASCAR Racetrack in Alabama is open for anyone that wants to come there. They are opening up all their accommodations for you. It is all free. I just wanted to get this out there.
David Bradley what a horrible position to have to make that decision. Of course no one would want to risk losing their belongings/home due to looting & flooding, but I guess it's better to evacuate anyway, because if you don't you could also be injured/killed. At least by evacuating you're only risking losing material possessions, not the lives of you or family. I understand how heartbreaking it would be to lose your home even so. Sending prayers to everyone & animals on the east coast that this could affect.
I pray for all the Floridians! But please make sure any senior neighbors you may have , have loved ones or someone making sure they are getting to a safe place and not left on their own. Everyone be safe ! Look out for each other.
I get it and then it’s the 1 time people don’t prepare cause they think it’s the same as always...boom..help come save us!!! I see it on both ends though...I guess those that can afford to ride on the side of caution..do so..for those that think it’s not necessary to prepare..all I can say is...I hope they are right this time!!!
After all that chaos of people scrambling for gas and water this thing isn’t even going to hit us now LOL. But it changes every day, so we’ll see what happens
I remember they said Irma was going over to the west, Naples/Fort Myer then it ended up going more so up the East coast, even east of Gainesville we had all kinds of trees and electric power lines down, I sure hope you are right LOL, but I am still praying and prepping!
Shabby P I know, I am in Texas keeping a watch. That western jog is unsettling to see. I know if it gets in the gulf it will balloon up again, giving me a ulcer. Getting together a course of action, in case.
@Rata 4U People have faith in God and Jesus Christ because he's alive and living and what he says is true !! Who do you think you are...making fun of people who believe and have faith ??? You don't know who has weak faith, and who doesn't. People do what makes sense for them to do. If they can or they want to...they evacuate. If they want to stay in their home...they stay home. Believing in God and Jesus is not B.S. !!! Doesn't matter that it's 2019. Either you believe and have faith or you don't. That's your choice. You shouldn't be making fun of people that do have faith and believe. You're not being very nice criticizing other people. As for me...I'm glad I believe and have faith in God and Jesus Christ. I've never regretted it. God has blessed me many times and heard my prayers. He has made a huge difference in me, and in my life. :o)
WaffleBoy hold your beer, as big as this storm is, from the coast , to the distance of Gwinnett, it will still be a strong cat 2 hurricane. It will take 500 miles of land to knock it down out of hurricane status. Prepare yourself, for wherever landfall happens to be. You could be without power for a week or more, act accordingly.
My heart go with them I understand. In september of 2017 we suffered huracane Maria in Puerto Rico and was the worst thing I have ever pass. Month without electricity basic necessities where hard to cover in the moth that followed. I hope this hurricane goes away my prayers are with them.
One reason I will always try to NEVER move near the east coasts... to go through this every year, sometimes more than once? No thanks. Hope everyone stays safe and uses common sense.
Yeah it’s kinda like earthquakes in California, this happens a lot. As someone who lives in South Carolina, this happens literally every year and you just get used to it.
I agree. I would rather go through a hurricane every year than go through a tornado though. Been through both and hurricane is way easier to deal with.
here in north carolina our judgement is pear shaped snow: KIDS GET IN THE BUNKER cat 5 hurricane: lets walk to the store. also you really doin this again nature? last year in september we got florence, which disrupted my 5th grade year and now this will disrupt my 6th grade year.
Keep in mind in the minds of some it is "like" so it could mean "i dislike what I see" "eww storm" Everyone interprets internet ui ettiquite differently.
Everyone is saying that the impact won't be determined until the turn happens, DO NOT WAIT until that happens, prepare now, everyone is already. Find water, perishable items, gather a disaster kit with all the basic essentials (clothes, medicine, ) in case you are evacuated you can just grab and go. If you have pets come up with a plan for them, best bet is to get them somewhere further inland on the path you will be taken get away from the storm if you leave your home. Get sandbags now if you know your area is prone to flooding. Best you prepare now instead of waiting til this storm is knocking at your door. Be safe and clam everyone who will be in the impacting areas of this storm.
@@ayliner6428 yep ,they are actually showing you Merritt island in the background been here for 40 yrs ... lived all over the world and this is where I picked to live, best place in the world ,,,FLORIDA
I live in Florida for many years, i never worry about hurricane, most of the time it panic made, people freaking about the nature, no matter what, it nature, it will do what it suppose to do. Just pray be calm, the nature responde to pray not to panic. Those who panic, die with blade of grass hitting them.
Same I've lived in Florida since I was born and when there was a hurricane I didn't even care since it never hit us where I live (I bet 50 50 that it won't even hit Miami)
Do you remember all the hurricane reports for all the hurricanes that were supposed to hit. People running around getting supplies spending a ton of money than nothing happened. People started ignoring "hurry up, get ready!! Then Andrew hit...not all people were prepared because the news had us panic for no reason so many times.
@@sharynkoren8758 The folks up in Tampa Bay cleaned-out every Ace Hardware, Home Depot & Lowe's of every last sheet of plywood 3 days ago! Bottled water and other "necessities" of living just flying off the shelves at Winn-Dixie, Walmart & Publix! Just to find-out 2 days later that Dorian has decided to head North! Must be "newbies" to the South!
There was only a 7% chance at it's height that Dorian would landfall in Florida. Now less than 1%. News channels dramatically reshape the facts to gain eyeballs. Now you know.
News Channels should be advising people to put cycle helmets on kids and put them between bed matreses and other useful infomation that will save lives!.
The news always focuses on everyone who panics. Your daughter is right most of us are chillin, always ready, and the computer model will change every single day so nothing is ever certain.
Yup, I live in Florida and that’s pretty much the attitude to have! Have your generators/gas when power goes out and have food cause everything will be closed until it’s all clean and clear!
@@BWPrime While I understand pride, you floridians possibly have no idea how bad it can get if its a CAT4. I was born and raised in PR where houses are built differently than the US and are built to sustain winds like such. Even when our houses were built differently, a CAT4 (Hurricane Maria) was deadly AF were thousands were killed. I only hope that pride and ignorance does not shadow reason and ends up killing stubborn people.
My best friend lives in Georgia...to say I'm worried is an understatement. I told him every safety procedure that i know, even though I live nowhere near the east coast. I really hope he's going to be okay.
The thing about kids cussing is that you are technically commiting a crime when you encourage a child to commit crime. It is illegal to use "cuss" words at a police officer or a judge and you can be charged, thusly you may have committed a crime if you encouraged the child to express their thoughts with cussing. It is a crime to cuss at certain professionals. Oh, and if you cuss at a doctor or medical professional you can be deemed agressive and there by be medically released of certain rights such as the right to refuse medications. By allowing them to think cussing is allowable you may have endangered them in the future and lost the their rights, simply by cussing. If you don't believe then look it up for your self, I have stated US law, make your self informed, its considered your responsibility in the USA. -Charles Lundy II Honorable Veteran of the US Army, 2010. #AwarenessForConcernedCitizens #StopChildViolence #StopSchoolCrimes #StopSchoolViolence
To all fellow Floridians, do not put your guard down! Many times we've seen hurricanes zig zag or change direction on a dime or even go in an unexpected track. A good example was just two short years ago with Irma. It was tracked one way and all of a sudden it changed dramatically. Please keep taking Dorian seriously; even in south Florida where i live. That thing can still shift.
Just a thought, too even if it doesn’t hit, and it’s just a really bad storm, what happens afterwards is just as important. It is typical, where there is standing water, for the mosquitos to be unbearable, My mother contracted encephalitis after one of the hurricanes. I used to love in a Florida, and I know the scariest thing, as well, are the funnel clouds, which don’t need a major hurricane to wreak havoc.
We got hit here in the United States Virgin Islands on Wednesday when the storm had just reached a cat 1 and I’m telling you it was no joke. To my friends up north take every precaution and please stay safe.
All of you we are praying for you all hope you will find help in this large hurricane we all know God's there to help you all ive been praying this will get over with and you will all be safe God bless you all
unless it gets hard fed you can see it loosing tons of strength. this should hopefully fizzle out. either way be careful and I wish everyone for the best.
@@thomasbel4193 lol😂😂😂 u made me laugh thank ya I needed that I have a lot of family down there all over that state really wished they'd move. back up here North....
i hope ya'll know that floridians actually WANT a hurricane lol. we all think it's exciting and a cool event so it's annoying it'll just graze off the side
@@-_39 not really, my neighborhood is full of houses even more expensive. but i really dont believe that he has a $7.5M house because people who do dont go bragging about it. trust me, i'd know
I live on the Florida east coast ...im just glad that we are not taking a direct hit ...but i know the wind and the rain are going to be something else tho but please ..Keep everyone in Florida and Georgia and the Carolinas in yalls prayers ..
Why do old people move to coastal states on the east coast? Why not middle Georgia? I’m in a wheelchair and I cannot live in a snowy state because I would get stuck in deep snow. I’m also not in hurricane alley
This is very disappointing. I was hoping for landfall in the Palm Beach Port Canaveral area and then a run straight up the I-95 Corridor. This would have created so much work. Now it looks like I may have to go north into the Carolinas Maybe to find work. Very disappointing.
