It's ridiculous when they tell people to leave regardless of where they live like the climate crisis cult Tampa Mayor. However if your house is deemed to be in zone then I think you should get the fuck out ! I have two houses, they are 10 minutes from each other. My neighbor on the left is in but I am not in a zone, my other house is on the water zone a. The zones a lot more than where you are
*Is there any reason why a news reporter should be standing outside in the middle of this? people can probably guess it's windy and raining. poor Anderson*
It's been tradition as long as there's been weather reporters. Esoteric meteorological knowledge tells us that the gods will judge our worth based upon the worth of the one we send out to stand in the eye of the cyclone. If he's swept away, we're all in trouble. Praise be to Anderson! Hang tight brother!
Yes, that was the severity that was projected, thankfully it was not so severe. Would you rather they make conservative estimates so they save face in the event it's not as bad as it could be? Or would you rather they air on caution and save lives.
If I were reporting this, I definitely protect my eyes. I realize that these reporter’s are passionate about reporting these events; however Safety first!
Don't worry, Cooper is a drama queen fake. He is perfectly safe on the edge of some hotel parking lot hundred miles north. He does these because people fall for it. Google how fake he is
Cooper makes a cool $20 million per year for his work with CNN, Yahoo! Finance reports. Cooper is one of the highest-paid news anchors and broadcast reporters in the United States.Jun 24, 2024
Can't believe no network has thought to use one of those Air Dancers -- those things you see flopping around at car dealerships -- to put out into the storm instead of a human.
Its fake I'm sure. You know how these guys roll. Remember Wolf Blitzer won awards for pretending to be in buildings in Baghdad. We found that was a lie like so many others, but they continue
I had to laugh when he pointed and said "you are right here" as if Anderson didn't know he was in the middle of a storm, getting pelted by horizontal rain, and needed Chad to tell him from a cozy, dry studio.
In 2019, I went through Typhoon Hagibis in Japan with winds gusts up to 100 mph when it reached Tokyo. Thankfully, Tokyo is well-built, so we hunkered down indoors. Unfortunately, many less well-built areas in the countryside were devastated. Good luck with Milton! If you’re in the affected area, please take all necessary precautions
Let's try something new: Have the entire team, those that are normally in the studio, report and stand together in the middle of the eye! It's really asinine to tell everyone to leave the areas they stand in and hold their hats and mic. RIDICULOUSNESS!
By putting newscasters out in the middle of a hurricane, you are endangering the news crew and also if the crew gets injured or stranded, the rescue crew who needs to go in there to get them out in the middle of a hurricane.
Why why why does the media think we want reportors to put their lives in danger? We DONT!!! And, it makes people think they can do the same thing. Please stop. We get it, there's horrendous rain and wind!
Unfortunately, when we click on and view, let alone comment on, these kinds of videos, it only encourages them to do it even more. It gets attention, which suggests we in fact _do_ want it. 😕
I mean, that's why I clicked on it, especially once I saw Q-tip out there getting tossed about. That's what I call journalistic integrity. Enjoy that humiliation ceremony Coop! Congrats.
Anderson, you’re right here on the map. Oh, there you go flying. Look, we’re even tracking your speed, it’s 80 mph. Anderson, there you are, heading at that building. Anderson, watch out, hit the breaks! Oh no, there are no brakes when you are flying in a hurricane. Well, goodbye Anderson.
Its not that the wind is blowing.... it's what the wind is blowing. So if you woke up this morning and did a 100 situps and pushups it's not going to matter how good a shape your in if you get hit with a Volvo! 😎
Did Anderson lose his hat? I hope they caught that on camera. Lol. No one is going to think bad of you if you film indoors or indoors near a window. Get inside!
Thank goodness. The prospect of a Cat 5 going across such a narrow stretch of land was making for a 'once-in-a-century' storm. Glad it's backed off a bit, but still very very dangerous.
Anderson you don't have to report out there, we know and we see the power of this storm. I hope you take cover and protect your eyes from all the flying debris.
Construction cranes are left to free wheel like a wind vane in these storms. This keeps them in line with the wind and greatly improves the odds of surviving the storm.
It don’t even look right poor guy get the f**k out of there this job ain’t worth your life from the looks of it we care about you more than the news station a group on strangers on the internet how sad
Kinda wild we still send journalists/reporters into the active storms and other inclement weather risking their safety with all the cctv and ring cams, all the video tech that can be put in place for live feed of the weather. I don’t mean any disrespect to the folks that are still doing this ‘for us’ but I don’t need to see a human life talk about it while they’re in it to respect or appreciate what they do. Praying for the safety of all involved 🙏🏼
Really appreciate how they put the weather reporter halfway behind a tree where we can see the palm tree leaves flapping around inbetween the reporter and the cameraman
At what point will news channels stop planting someone in the middle of a storm to tell people there's a storm that people shouldn't be outdoors during?
Anderson walks into burning 🔥 building😕 Reporter : Hi guys this historical building 😊 has been around since 1949 & as we look upon here we see it burning down slowly and back to Anderson 😮 Hi 👋 😶🌫️can you repeat that kinda hard to breathe it really hot in here is the fire still on other side of building 😮 Reporter: uuuuh yeah 😅 it still over I think Anderson:☠️
Is it really necessary to send the news anchors and their crew right in the middle of a Cat3 hurricane? We already know how bad it is. Why do we need to see people flopping around on camera while getting soaked by a waterfall to know the severity of this storm?
