1st responders don't get enough thanks for what all they do. Firefighters killed by falling trees is another hazard on the job. Damn. My heart goes out to everyone, the ones who have died and the ones who are suffering right now. Take my advise, please listen to them, people are literally putting others people lives in danger by getting out to be lookie Lues. It's not worth it. It's bad and you know it, you don't have to go out a see it.
Helene had the same energy as Ian, they are very similar hurricanes in formation and strength, this shows a pattern in this new condition of warmer Oceanic and Gulf waters. Those hurricanes will be this strong, and more frequent.
RiP to all who died this is one of the reason why I don't live in Florida no more. I live through Hurricane Andrew in 92, which was very powerful and deadly. I can never understand why people never cut down tree close to their home to keep their family safe. Man this is sad.
A tree hit my parked car yesterday morning. 😢 It snapped the big damn tree in half. My windshield cracked. The passager side window smashed. The frame massively bent. The hood bent and above my back tail light above it is damaged. 😢😢😢😢😢 My first car I have had since 2015. I loved my Toyota Corolla. Just so happens, I have comprehensive insurance. But still. Fucking hurts.
Sorry, dude. That sucks. I do love trees though. Life without trees would be utterly depressing! Still, a car is an extension of who we are these days, and we do rely on them ..
I live in Spartanburg We didn’t think this would be this bad at all. But we’ve been out of power for over 24 hours, and only 3% of residents have been serviced … Gas stations are out too Traffic lights are out. Don’t go anywhere unless you’re taking back roads. 911 doesn’t work

What a disaster all around, a vast area of terrible destruction. I feel so sad knowing each wrecked building was a home, store, business, church, school. It is so terrible. I have visited in these areas many times. It is aggravating to not have electricity, but think on the people who have no home anymore. I lost electricity for 7 days when Floyd (a relatively small weak hurricane) visited my state. We just sucked it up, luckily we has a gas stove and hot water heater. It was kind of fun reading around the dinner table by candle light. Showering in the morning dark for work with candles. Cooking dinner with candles. I still keep an unnecessarily large number of candles and matches.
I wish more people could evacuate. Money and chasing dreams has divided the American family into sparce spread out messes that cant group together when danger comes. Rest in peace yall ❤ Be extra kind to homeleess humans and animals
Yea I think it really just is a money thing. I’m in Florida and evacuation wasn’t even a consideration. My workplace didn’t even shut down either. I think people can’t afford to just evacuate on a whim, in general. And you’re right about people not working together. But yes, Rest in Peace 🕊️
@@michaelslifecycle I’ll add a couple more reasonings on top of money… 1) Pride & Complacency. Too many people think “I made it through the last couple hurricanes, I’ll make it through another” then some want to “go down with the ship” (home) so to speak. 2) Hotels in the panhandle were booked all the way past Pensacola. People that evacuated were having to drive 4-5 hours away for a room.
God have mercy on those who have lost their lives in this horrific! Life threatening storm. And send help to those in need of being recued. 😢🙏🏽 in The Mighty Name of Christ Jesus!.. Amen ❤️
My nephew’s friend and his uncle had a tree fall on them. The uncle passed immediately and from what last I heard my nephew’s friend is in the hospital and it doesn’t look like he’s gonna make it.
I live in Lyman SC, this storm tore our dock out of the water, a tree fell on my neighbors house. Our power has been out since last morning. I couldn’t find one store or gas station open yesterday. It’s like the world ended
RIP 🪦 to all who lost lives due to this storm. Prayers for the families of all end especially for the 2 Firefighters lost while going to serve the community! 🙏🏼
This is a news report from Western North and South Carolina, they really don't do the damage justice in the pictures they show. Just knowing a hurricane was on the way is not a good warning for these areas as a hurricane won't cause anything but a bit of rain generally, so it's pretty unusual to need to be prepared for flooding, let alone record breaking floods, possibly week long power and cell service outages, landslides, roads being washed away, and all the homes and belongings lost. Many of us with family in this area have no way to contact our loved ones in the no power zone, so please think about that before joking during a disaster like this.
I pray you and all those effected are safe and have all that is needed to stay safe. God. We pray that you keep all those affected to be safe in his loving arms. 🙏 ❤
I live in a hard hit area here in the Upstate (SC) with lot's of trees down and the power still out on Sunday morning, and have reached the point where we're joking about it now like "What the heck, what can you do about it". I guess it's gallows humor. Laughing in the face of death. (Not literally)
@@Foreign501st yea I heard in reports in work some folks didn’t have too much to worry about. But other parts are really tore up. I’m just waiting to see what the claims estimates are. I know it’s going to be a lot of vehicles totaled but this won’t be as costly as Ian. But it will affect everyone’s insurance whether in or outside of Florida.
It's from Greenville, SC and covers Greenville, Spartanburg, Laurens, Anderson (sometimes it covers Abbeville and Greenwood) Pickens, Clemson and Seneca, SC and Asheville and Hendersonville, NC.
I know that many people hate us Californians but, many of us are Christians and/or also donate to people in other states when they have disasters. Im praying for all of you
No one should be hating anyone we are all gods children no matter where you are and what color is our skin .I pray for everyone who is in danger please god protect them and keep everyone safe❤
Indeed, we are indeed all gods children, ain't nothing but love around this way ❤ thanks for the prayers. We could stand to pray for y'all more. Most southerners are warm, but cynics, i speak on behalf of all of us. We are All children on the lord, we are all brothers and sisters. Stay safe 🫶
They were trained to hate by tramp and the gang. Most don't even know what they are talking about just repeating what they hear on RU-vid or read in comments.
You realized this it’s the first time this has happened same with war, I’m a Christian as well but you can’t just say everything is a warning of Jesus coming back when this isn’t the first or worst time something has happened
As someone from upstate SC, the aftermath of the storm was crazy. A tree fell on my neighbors house and a tree fell and destroyed my fence. I could hear the sounds of chainsaws all through the neighborhood of neighbors cutting fallen trees. Many of my neighbors helped the one who’s tree fell on their house and I picked up some tree branches that fell. ALMOST EVERY YARD HAD A FALLEN TREE.
John 3:16 King James Version 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I don't think you are. The death toll first is not finalized, and they will find a lot of bodies over the next several weeks. The initial death toll is smaller than you would have thought because of the extensive planning and warnings. It could have been so much worse, even though it is terrible enough. When they start talking about eliminating the NOAA and other forecasting governmental entities, this is the reason you don't want that to happen. They save a tremendous amount of lives..
Remember when your community can’t afford storm cleanup, flood relief funds, insurance coverage denied, and your local government can’t afford it -ISRAEL NEEDS THE MONEY MORE!!!!
@@liai7816 Israel gets the most aid! The US gave Israel billions for DECADES!!! Google it! What billions are Floridians. Georgians, etc. going to get?!?
_Nahum 1:3 [KJV] The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet._
I tell yall what we kept trying to sleeo through it but the sound of the tornados it was spinning off was far too terrifying and then we got up this am and went to see if we could find a store open and couldnt get anywhere bc of the trees down from it. Soneones trash can in our yard from God knoes where.... Etc. Absolutely the scariest ive seen and ive been in Florida all ny life!
I hate the 24 hour news cycle.. seeing this every day has reminded me that I haven't heard from my boyfriend since Wednesday. He lives in northern south Carolina...
Desantis was offered help before. He turned it down. Boebert did the same thing. When I'm told to evacuate I evacuate. The death toll is more important than stuff.
Can the broadcasters disclose their town or country at beginning? Simply saying Upstate is confusing. For a New Yorker to see hurricane in upstate is scary as the only time it has happened in the last several decades was when Hurricane Sandy hit here which was quite damaging. One should not have to look up the station's acronym to find out the location the reporting is about. Thanks.
They can’t possibly provide a state and a county and a city because they are way too busy getting their little 15 seconds of fame and doing a very lousy job at that.
It's WSPA TV7 here in beautiful Upstate SC. The other Upstate if you're from NY,but being our arrogant selves we always like to think we were probably the first,or original "Upstate".
And will republicans in the House come to their senses and pass a CR bill instead of following what their dear leader trump tells them what to say and do?!
I'm a S FL native.. been thru quite a few hurricanes in my 48 yrs down here.. I'm on the East coast, Treasure Coast area.. Most of us can handle the high winds its the surge we pay most attention to.. you have to respect the surge..
@@ivanboesky1520 But yet, every single storm morons are getting rescued.. 1000s of rescues happened the other night.. So, is it really that obvious? How many Hurricanes have you been thru and where in FL do you live?
You gotta be kidding!! It JUST happened There is damage everywhere and the path of the hurricane was large. And you think the cellphone towers damaged should already be repaired??? Get some brain cells functioning and a little bit of sense.
Cool. How is that actually helping the victims of this hurricane? That’s not going to feed them, clothe them, give them a safe place to sleep at night, remove the storm water from their homes, or even rebuild them. It’s not going to turn the power back on either. It’s not going to bring back the ones we lost. It’s not going to reduce the cost of the insurance deductibles they’ll need to pay - if the insurance companies don’t cut and run from the state to avoid paying out again. It’s not going to stop FEMA payouts taking months. This is a natural disaster (ie an “act of god”), right? So it seems pretty intentional to me. Maybe “begging for mercy” would be more appropriate. Are you actually praying without ceasing?
Weather Modification Program combating global warming. Blame it on Climate Change. Its all the cows fault. To many people. To many trees. New, improved, extreme!!! Welcome to the construct ! I hope my beautiful Bell Tent surrounded by trees is not under a tree when I go back to my shady off grid camp. ❤To all
Sad, that it had such a big impact on certain parts of Florida... But to only witness home, just strong LOUD winds and some rain. Then you look at Tampa Bay along the Coast area HOLY SHIT. people died where they were (whether they didn't evacuate to somewhere when they should've or they were stuck), seriously to have a tree land on your house and go out that way..😒 What A Shame! Wish they all were from my area, deaths could've been prevented.
People who get out and roam around for no other reason than to be nosy and get themselves into trouble need to be charged for pulling resources away from REAL emergencies. Emergency crews have enough on their hands...they don't have time to stop and help you because you THOUGHT you could cross moving water ...JUST to get to the other side. If you have the means... and you are not affected by this natural disaster then get out and help. Don't add to the workload!!! Prayers for all!!
Jesus Christ this rain is terrible, I live in Virginia, and the basement in our home (I live and sleep down there) was just POURING water from the walls and basement door, causing our basement to flood with about 8-9 inches of water. Safe to say we had the fire department come and help, spent $200 on a new sump pump for the drain since ours broke at the worst possible time, and now my fireplace and couch are ruined and need replacement. Hopefully this kind of stuff didn’t happen so bad to you guys, stay safe out there y’all 🖤🙏🏼
I hope all government agencies help all people to restore their homes forever protocol help people u waste billions on a "war help our people work together all agencies❤❤❤
Incompetent maga conservative russian republican jim crow welfare state governments and policing is a failure and a threat to real Americans everywhere.
Thank you to all the first responders who put their lives at risk to help others. You don't know how much of us are so thankful and prayed for your safety. I saw a video of South tower bridge as it slowly dissappeared to the hurricane, and SECONDS before that hurricane took over that bridge, i saw four headlights crossing over and thought to myself who would be ctazy enough to cross that bridge as that hurricane was bearing down, then i realized it was a cop car & an ambulance. God bless you all. And RIP to all the victims who lost their lives to Helene, may their families find strength to cope, and eventually some peace & comfort from the pain. ❤ Truly innocent victims
It boggles my mind that more people are scared of tornadoes than hurricanes. You can lose your house in both, sure, but in Hurricanes, there is a much higher odds that you are trapped in the area of the storm, due to how widespread damage is.
South Carolina not ready for Storms like this , poor planning , no crews doing anything , no power crews , one or two gas stations with gas , traffic lights out everywhere , in 3 days saw one fema truck !
God bless to all the people in central GA I got lost on back roads heading home to Florida. Got trapped in my car in McRae Helena GA everyone there was kind and got me back on the highway. There was no cell service incase your wondering why I got lost I didn’t have good service till I got past Ocala.
Although a lot of these people know the hurricane is coming, my heart still goes out to the people who didn’t leave their home. I can imagine that’s not an easy decision to make whether to stay or go. I’m sure they felt like they could just ride it out and often times they do. May all those who lost their lives rest in peace, but my thoughts and my prayers go out to the surviving family members because the days will be tough ahead.🙏🏾❤
The floods at cedar key Florida from Helene and the small town to the east from prior hurricanes may be for a reason. The cumulative effect of wind turbines in the plains states creates a sort of pressure that keeps large hurricanes pushed to the east in the Gulf of Mexico. Mankato minnesota felt the effect of storm water accumulation from the cluster of wind turbines in minnesota along the southern quarter of the state The waters are warmer along the eastern Gulf of Mexico thereby the heat engine effect makes the storm stronger. The Los Angeles California area and westward are suffering from the effect of a new industrial waste water river from Salton sea lithium mining. Mega fog with fungus killing semi arid plants. The fires killed much of the butterfly and moth populations as vegetation gets thicker then drought. Only an idiot would use the earths magma as a furnace to cook lithium. But thst is what they are doing. I was attacked in minnesota in 2024 seeking healthcare. The first time I was attacked seeking healthcare was in Los Angeles federal healthcare in 2001. I had survived bombs and executions near the Salton sea while in federal bank examiner employment. I was told to buy in to Berkshire Hathaway lithium mineral rights. I want a tort claim to sue the criminally insane assassin and terrorists Hector mine earthquake day October 1999. A disappearing train is the only proof. Perhaps a freight train before the derailed Amtrak or maybe a carload of executed federal employees. Kurt Brown Saintrambone Mobile Audit Club
We walked out to smoke a few times even and the gusts were blowing ghe trees so hard across the street i thought they'd fly at us!, no joke!, scary stuff
Trust me if my older sister is there, she will be able to calm the weather . However, she said it beings bad luck on business when she use the special prayer.
