I can only hope it took Ron with it I really do feel sorry for the people who are living through this I have been in many here in Texas We are sending them water and other supplies I hope everyone is alright Prayers for you all
it seems like the winds were in the backside of the storm and all the machines that suppose to record never made it the back side of the eyewall that was a the strongest
Yeah, betting this storm will go down as a Cat 5 too. All that lightning around the eye-wall is amazing! One plus though is that this storm is coming ashore during the daylight hours.... but still, they're going to have a rough night tonight too! :-|
I’m curious, can a hurricane gain moisture and strength by passing over fresh water. I.e. lakes, rivers, swamps. I know in the ocean the the mouth of rivers can give hurricanes more strength. If anyone knows please tell, it’s hard to find an answer on this.
Any warm water can support the strength of a hurricane or strengthen it . It doesn't matter if the water is fresh or salty, the main thing is that it has a high temperature to maintain or strengthen the storm.
@@gamingwitharlen2267 Lake Okeechobee is 85 degrees in late Summer and is well big enough to feed a hurricane strength. There just aren't that many big lakes in hurricane climates to worry about it.
@@gamingwitharlen2267 no, it would depend on the size of the storm as to how much surrounding land would effect it. There have been hurricanes that have cut across the state and maintained or gained strength.
I think this hurricane is a CAT 2, but it identifies as a CAT 7. It is very woke. Its pronouns are “bigass” and “wholy crap”. This makes for better drama and fake news…
