Exceptional information and presentation. Brian, you are so important to us in the Caribbean not to mention Mexico and the southern coastal states. Thank you so very much.
Good morning Brian and weather family. It's a scorcher here in Bequia again today. It's calm, clear and really HOT. No sign of rain at the moment. Thoughts and prayers to those experiencing severe weather at the moment 🙏🏻 Blessings 💞
The flooding in both Tennessee and North Carolina has been catastrophic with many lives lost as the remnants of Helene slowly dies out. Some of the videos circulating around RU-vid are utterly heartbreaking. We should never underestimate the utter havoc these tropical systems can bring so far away from the coastline.
Go buy some MREs and some other food to store, water too. We are too dependent on the grid, grow a garden and can, I live on a farm so it's natural for me, but I urge others to do so because of events like this
@@mysticmae12 Hurricane Katrina survivor here. I know something about what devastation looks like. The road to recovery will be long, but don't lose faith. Not giving in to depression and despair is key. It'll take time, but it will happen. God Bless.
Not just the tropics but any storm. Before Helene, a front stalled over the mountains causing oversaturation and minor flooding. When Helene came and merged with the stalled front, it created the perfect storm, it added more rain to the already saturated ground causing immediate flooding and landslides.
Good morning Mr. Brian and world over. It is raining cats and dogs over here in St. Thomas Jamaica. And am loving it. Cool calm & nostalgic 😊 I hope everyine is safe and secure in these weather conditions.
My sister and her family are stranded on Beech Mountain NC. I don’t know how to get people to appreciate the dangers of surge. We felt your pre-impact report was spot on. We are trying to share your channel with as many as we can!

I knew survivors of the 1900 Galveston hurricane. In the 1950s, even on very hot days at the Galveston beaches the water temperature was very pleasant. In 2017 Hurricane Harvey made landfall farther west down the Texas coast, then soon diminished to tropical storm status, then slowly moved up the Texas coast. It seemed to me that Harvey's rain bands came for almost 4 days. News reports said that Harvey set a new national record for rainfall from a tropical cyclone, 60.58 inches. In recent years the Gulf temperature at the beaches has become very warm in summer. This is radically different from the way it was in the 1950s. Over the decades some category 4 hurricanes have made landfall in Texas. Now that we are in an era when the Gulf is very warm in summer, I am expecting that the frequency of major hurricanes striking Texas will increase in frequency. I wonder how much longer it will be before Texas is struck by a category 5 hurricane. And I wonder how much hotter the Gulf is going to get. I read a recent report that stated that the rate of sea level rise at Galveston Island is very fast. Galveston Island, beloved island of my birth. Mr. Shields, I am grateful to you for your outstanding RU-vid channel. Thank you for all the good you are doing for the world.
Goodmorning Brian thank you for on point delivery of valuable información that keep us safe Pamphret ST Thomas Jamaica heavy rain and thunder this morning

Great, great video Brian! Living in Orlando I’m used to your forecasting but these longer format videos are fantastic. This video sets my mind at ease quite a bit about us getting hit here. Thanks so much for sharing all these valuable, and reassuring, videos. Tell Tom hey for me 😊.
You don't sugarcoat and you don't sensationalize. You arm us with facts based on your expertise. God Bless You, Brian! You genuinely care for us on the Gulf Coast and in the Carribean and that is why we trust you because you put Christ's love into action mode!
Ppl beware of scammers online, I've seen ppl asking for money so they can buy food, and other stories that you cannot verify, pls don't send anything to individuals, just make donations to repretable organizations like red cross, or something, i just needed to warn ppl about this, unfortunately with disasters come the looters and thieves, scammers, and money makers to charge absorbent prices and take advantage of ppls loses, or government contracts.
