this is the first accurate video about boosting H3's on RU-vid, thanks guys. This will help players without knowledge about boosting chinese rubbers. Keep up with the good work!
DHS Hurricane Two is sharper, more precise, has less room for error, and puts a much lower arc than the other hurricanes. The hurricane 3s (not the 3-50 haven’t tested it) have the highest throw angle out of all the hurricanes, hurricane 8 in second, and hurricane 2 with the lowest. Hurricane two is meant for close to mid distance loopers with long stroke and great technique. I personally use it on my back hand.
@@koreaface I'm thinking of buying Hurricane 3-50 35 degrees 2.1mm, do you think it would be a more ball-feeling game with a soft sponge? I think the sponge of the h2 neon is hard.
With any soft sponge, you will get more feeling unless tensor then it becomes a bit more complex question. So yes you will feel a lot more vibration because the ball will sink in closer to the blade.
I played Hurrican DHS3, i pretty much like them. Yes, you have to work hard to generate speed and include all body parts for power. Just by focusing omn forhand acceleration and wrist (like german technic teaches more or less) its harder to controll that rubber and make it reliable. But once you master that, it gives you incredible control, crazy spin and good speed. The tackiness also helps close to the table, short touches, serves, flicks, counters etc. Now i wanted to try something new, but also a sticky rubber which is low price. Thats why i went Hurrcian 8 on both sides. You said it feels different to the other hurricans. Lets see. Thanks for the review anyways! Much appreciated! It was about what i needed to have a compairison on the sicky rubbers on the marcket (maybe include other brands aswell such as Rakza Z or Dignics09c so players have a overview?). Lastly i want to mention Sergejs backhand. What a weapon of mass destruction. Crazy power and accuracy!! 😵😵
probably the first accurate video that i've seen of h3. thank you! everyone else has a completely garbage fh stroke and says things that are completely untrue of pretty much any tacky rubber. my question is, even after playing with both, what is the preference in dealing with the provincial blue sponge vs the national orange sponge?
As for the comparison: in my opinion, blue sponge is quite a lot harder and without boosting it feels very slow ( too slow for me ). However, if you use several (2-3) thin layers of booster, the Blue Sponge shows its potential. The orange sponge is softer and is possible to use without boosting. If applying even about of booster to both rubbers, blue sponge feels great for the aggressive game (topspins; counter topspins from any distance), while orange sponge if more versatile: easier to block and chop, while still maintaining enough of speed and power.
And difference between provincial and national rubber is just a matter of quality selection. The national version will be simply a lot more stable in the sickness and hardness of the sponge. I personally play with Hurricane 3 Neo Provincial blue sponge on the forehand side. Great potential, especially for my aggressive game. Hope it could be useful for you!
@@Tabletennis11 what booster u use? I use 2 layers of seamoon and its very soft 39, glue first layer. What u can say about backhand rubber like h3 37. I read blue sponge 1° softer then blue...
Hello! We use Haifu Sea Moon booster. Recently we got different variations of that booster: national yellow and orange booster. So we are trying them out. Hurricane 3 neo 37' is indeed a great rubber for the backhand side. Softer version is used by many professional players yet and I think even more will with in the future.
I justo bought a few days ago an H3Neo for Forehand, a stiga Clipper CR blade and a Rakza PO shorts pimp for backhand. I've seen in several videos de versatility of H3 so although My padel has not arrive yet, i dont regret abt my purchase. Awsome video !
ну не знаю.... как по мне так 8 самая интересная , играю 8 с двух сторон , скорости конечно не хватает , но всё остальное на отлично ( контроль , вращение ) основание Andro Treiber CI OFF и Yinhe M102
Hi and thanks for this video. It is possible for you to recommend a hardness degrees for the Neo 3 for fh/bh for a fast attacking style ? Thanks a lot in advance - greetings
Hello! Thanks for the question and glad you liked the video. You do not necessarily have to remove the glue layer to reboot the rubber. If when the rubber was detached from the blade the whole gluer stayed as a whole ( not torn and some parts were not left on the blade ), then you can apply one extra layer on the sponge with the glue layer, let it dry for ~24 hours, and attach it back to the blade
We will probably make a separate video on that topic. According to the ITTF rules, any post-treatment of the rubber is prohibited. But many professional and hobby players use it, as it gives additional speed to the rubber and it is difficult to detect
@@Tabletennis11 and let's mention that pre boosting is actually allowed. So I assume that many pros have their rubber pre boosted to their preference in the factory. Thus, it doesn't break the rule in any way. Like some tacky dhs and stiga rubber, they're absolutely unplayable without boosters. I believe the major objective is to prevent the top rubber from expanding, so if they boost the foam before assembling the top, it would be fine by ittf?
I recently tried Hurricane 3 Neo and it seemed very hard and I was not able to generate as much speed as I was used to getting from the Xiom Vega Europe I was used to playing with. I removed it after just one session nd boosted it, but I haven't tried it again yet. Does playing with it after boosting actually soften the sponge that much in your opinion?
It will soften it a little bit. But the man effect of boosting is that it will make the rubber easier to play, the rubber behaves more consistent and it’s easier to get the “crack” sound when looping.
Hello! Thank you for the question! The booster makes the rubber more elastic, so in a way softer. The strokes become easier to perform, as you do not need to implement so much power in the active shots. But the grip and control qualities stay on the same level in my opinion.
But indeed Xiom Vega Europe will still be a lot more springy, even if you compare it to the boosted Hurricane 3 Neo. Hurricane wins in the spin and control category I think. And you are able to give as much power and spin as you want, almost without any risk to play "out"
Hello! You can order them on our website. Here is the link for the Hurricane 3-50 page: www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/dhs-hurricane-3-50 You can add rubber to the cart and then proceed to checkout. Please write an email to info@tabletennis11.com if you have any other questions!
Reason 1. Is they are somehow connected with the Neottec brand (maybe owners or co-owners). Reason 2. The blade is very well made, is balanced, and goes well with every types of rubbers (I own it).
Yes Hurricane rubbers give a lot of spin but they are affected by opponent spin as well. If your strokes are not fast you will be at disadvantage. So you have to make the perfect stroke on every shot. They are not very forgiving rubbers and are more suited to advanced players.
the content was really really good! (but the editing makes me dizzle. Too much shake and transitions. swirling and everything. RIP to those with vertigos)
that's why shops should keep doing shop stuff. there are many videos available that shows how to do it. i'm a H3 and TG3 user for many years now and let me tell you that you did absolutely nothing to your rubbers with that technique. or barely noticable. these rubbers are absolute rocketships when you do it right. this video is so cringey when we know...
Hello! Thank you for your comment. Your opinion is very important. We are aware, that there are plenty of different approaches to treating rubbers with a booster.
You are right. H2 is customly designed for Wang Liqin who was famous for his monstrous forehand power. Even the Chinese players admit it requires too much aboslute power to hit through the rubber
Nice Video! You guys have done the best review on youtube (QHD video + range of product + controlled the changing factors). I hope to contribute a video ideas: 1. Skyline 2 (Xu Xin's & Ma Lin's forehand rubber) vs Skyline 3 (Wang Hao's forehand rubber) vs H3 2. Blue Sponge vs Orange Sponge (For H3 and Skyline 2?) All the best!
Any thought about durability? As you seem all to be Hurricane users, how long do you keep one rubber before changing it? Or do you re-boost the same rubber a few times?
Hello! Thank you for your question! The durability depends on the intensity of the usage. I started playing with Hurricane when I was 13 and at that time I was not using booster. I could play with one rubber for more than 6 month at that time. And then I changed a rubber because of tears and shabby, not because of the down grade of the playing characteristics. Now I apply two layers of booster and I play a lot more powerful, so the rubber lasts for 2.5 - 3 month
Max, I am coming for you, loosing 10 quarantine kilos, so boost up glue up, put your best shoes on, hurricane is coming... vamos :) Great vid fellas, keep up! 👌
Great video! However a bit confusing in terms of boosting: Many chinese say that before applying booster you need to apply a THICK layer of waterbased glue, then booster (1-3 times) and finally glue again to stick. They say this is essential to protect the sponge - especially on the Blue sponge but also on orange. I personally boosted two Nittaku H3 - one drectly on the sponge and one over glue - I really did not like directly on sponge as it made it mushy and a bit less precise. When I boosted over a glue layer things were much better. The H3 I boosted over glue also responded much better on the second boosting (after 3 months) . I used Falco tempo Long
As usual it was a excellent video. I should appreciate if you could go into details regarding boosting, ex is it possible to boost a 1 month used rubber. Do I have to try and take off the old glue , etc.
@@seguso 39 degree sponge for Hurricane 2, it will be difficult to feel the ball in a very hard sponge, if I'm not mistaken, but Hurricane 3-50 is 35 degrees, wouldn't this be more controlled?
I've only tested the standard H3neo and the nittaku version, the latter being more suitable for everything with a more lively sponge. To be honest I watched the video just for the neottec voodoo blade, i already have the magic control and was the best purchase I ever made, maybe I'll get the voodoo just for fun
Nittaku Hurricane really feels more lively if you compare it with Chinese Hurricanes with no booster. Also another big advantage you can choose thinner rubber ( especially for the defenders and "blocking" players ). The blade is worth trying I think. Maybe not as fast as modern carbon blades, but definitely great in control/speed relation. Classical 5-ply all-wood construction. That is why we chose that blade for rubber testing.
Hello, fantastic review! I've never played tacky rubbers before and have no experience with those whatsoever. This is why I finally want to try out a tacky rubber to see if I like it or not. There are so many different options though so I'm a little overwhelmed with what to choose. I also don't want to go the extra step of boosting if not absolutely necessary. All the different DHS hurricanes, Nittaku Hurricane, Rakza Z (extra hard), Dignics 09c and so on. I'm used to playing with a Nittaku Fastarc G-1 on FH and Fastarc C-1 in BH. I'm playing an innerlayer carbon blade (xiom icecream azxi). I love attacking with a strong forehand. Based on all this, could you give me a recommendation on where to start my tacky rubber journey? :)
Не уверен что это был клей, сами китайцы говорят что это пребустер и сразу начинают со слоя клея...А уже потом в зависимости хотят побыстрее или нет наносят еще несколько слоев бустера.
Probably the smell you are talking about is the smell of the pre-boosted rubber, so the Neo version. In that term regular Hurricane 8 might have least smell. Also Hurricane 3-50 does no smell as hard as Hurricane 2 Neo and 3 Neo. That smell does not bother me to be honest
seriously tough. Yes its illegal, but there is no accurate way of detecting it, so players do it anyway. In my opinion they should just remove the rule, because it is giving players a dilemma of following the rules or doing what most players are doing.
That is correct CNT players get special rubbers that are boosted from the factory which breaks in the rubber. You can also break it in by playing with it hence the more you use the better it gets.
What the player did at 7:56 is that he’s breaking in the rubber. There are videos of CNT players doing this at practice. The rubber they play with before a match aren’t so fresh that it’s their first time playing it.
This is great content. Very through discussion and review. I personally would love to see comparison between unboosted Hurricane 8, 3-50, Rakza Z Extra Hard, and Dignics 09C. I currently play with a Sweden Extra with unboosted Hurricane 8 on my forehand, but am very curious about whether I should switch to Rakza Z Extra Hard since I do not boost.
Thank you for the suggestion! Seems like that is a really interesting idea! I think we will make a comparison with different tacky rubbers in the nearest future
@@leobattalora4495, we will think about the possibility of testing without boosting as well. Most of the professional players boost the Chinese rubbers, that is why we do so as well to make a fair comparison with the German and Japanese rubbers
hm interesting quote about ''many top europeans'' players uses hurricane xD When in reality no ones from Europe top ten or twenty don't using them. But you need to sell it, we get it, guys!
