This arrangement was so beautiful. I closed my eyes and listened as you made that guitar sing...and healing tears fell as I thought about my son who left us almost 10 years ago at age 25. Thank you for blessing us with the gift of your talent.

One of best and depressive songs ever, it's always remind me that we can't leave the world with our possessions but a bunch of broken hearts and fake respects and all emotions are based on sadness, even you are happy there is a sadness behind it because you won't know the value of happiness before losing it.

This song conjures up a scene scape from Stephen King's The Dark Tower. One of the lines is where the protagonist recalls a clan living "among the machines that usually didn't work, or sometimes ate the men when it did" a sort of steam punk future yet ancient post-apocalypse world that's worn out. "My empire of rust" and "full of broken thoughts" fit this narrative beautifully. Read it.

About a year before my grandfather committed suicide, he told me this was his favorite song on the Johnny Cash CD I had bought for him for his birthday. 😢💔🌹

This is one of those times where you love something even though it makes you suffer. It was an awesome cover. Unfortunately Cash's version was so perfectly aligned with my life at the time that I hear it and all the feelings rise to the surface. Regret and longing.

Trent Reznor is an amazing lyricist/songwriter poet, etc and I’m happy he let his song evolve in different hands. It’s epic in every rendition, as it was originally.
