I feel like they protected Riley so much so she wouldn’t see the real world so If Lucas got with maya she’d see what heartbreak feels like. I mean they can’t protect her from everything she’s going to have to experience pain and love if she’s going to survive the real world.

Omgud i just realised this: Maya: "if you care about me here is what you do, go find Riley and tell her that you love her" Lucas cares about Maya so much that he does it. He did it because he wants that Maya is happy and If It means something for her he does it.

I know Riley is the main character but I lowkey dislike her. She "stepped back" for maya for not even one episode. In my opinion it seems like Riley only cares about Maya's feelings when it doesn't concern her. When both Riley and maya are covered in purple paint, maya had said Lucas chose Riley. I'm not saying Riley's a bad friend but in season 1 when both Farkle and Lucas took Maya and Riley on a date, Maya was hurt because of what happened with Josh. Everyone could see that Maya was hurt, even Lucas, yet Riley had to ask Lucas if she could talk to Maya when she was in real pain. The fact that she even had to ask for confirmation kind of bothered me.

I lowkey disliked Riley because the way she told Lucas that they were gonna be sister and brother, it sounded like she was trying to hold him back (or I’m just overthinking). And I also disliked Farkle a little bit cuz he thought he was right about telling Riley that Lucas really liked her, while as I saw, Lucas did love Maya, he just hasn’t made up his feelings and his thoughts yet. I honestly think Lucas and Maya are better together. Ok Riley had a crush on Lucas first, but there is a love triangle as early as season 1 and we see it in almost every episode. The story goes on and I feel a big chemistry between Lucas and Maya than between Lucas and Riley. I understand that this is the main character but she has a perfect life, a perfect family. Which is quite the opposite for Maya. Morals would have been a lot better if Riley knew the harshness and reality of life (the broken heart) and if Maya knew that life is more than disappointment and that she would know true love. Maya was afraid of her feelings and she sacrificed herself for Riley. I think Lucas didn't have enough time to make up his mind. He didn't know what to do because he liked both. The quote says "If you love two people at the same time, choose the second. Because if you really loved the first, you never would have had feelings for the second." . I wonder if Lucas would have reconsidered his decision if there had been other seasons. I think Maya has loved Lucas from the start but she was so scared of losing riley and has no trust in love that she didn't say anything.

I just HATED it. I hated the fact that their character (Riley and Maya) were supposed to be best friends, but that it was only Maya who thought all the time about Riley's well-being. I hated the fact that they didn't want to give Maya a chance to be a better version of herself and make her believe she didn't deserve Lucas. I hated the fact that Riley who were supposed to be her best friends couldn't for once put her well being behind maya's well-being and be happy for her. I hated the fact that in the end Maya was alone and Luca&Riley finished together when y'all know that he loved Maya. Like WHY ? I hated the point that Riley was literally selfish at some point . I hate the fact that in the comments section of this edict almost everyone says " Wow Maya put Riley's well-being before her well-being if that's not the real friendship" because that's not true at all.. Friendship must come from both sides same as Love, a relationship can't work with a single person whether in love or in friendship In order to make a relationship function , the consideration of both sides must exist And the fact that Maya only thinks about Riley's well-being and Riley being selfish is Def Toxic for their friendship and i hate that. I hate the fact That In the comments section (again) some people say that if lucas really liked Riley he was never going to fall in love with Maya in first place And that's the point Girl- Lucas was never in love with Riley it was Riley who was in love whith him He has always been in love with Maya but no one noticed that.
