A 21-year-old woman is dead in Waller County after she was believed to have been murdered by her husband on Wednesday, according to the Waller County Sheriff’s Office.
Imagine giving your daughter away to the person that was supposed to love her, and protect her until death do them part. And only a short while later he comes walking into your home probably full of blood head to toe, and they go out back and find their daughter in that condition. This is absolutely tragic. My condolences to her family
I heard the Sheriff say that it was his parents home. That his Father called made the call to report the murder. She was undocumented and her aunt lived near by. No mention of it being her family who lived in the house on the property.
Daughters are NOT given away in the Latin or Hispanic community. That's something you see in some East Asian communities, not the Hispanic community. Our daughters marry because they want to, and they choose their own spouse. We don't have arranged marriages, but 'love matches'. Sadly, this young girl married someone who ended her life. Sometimes, the person we marry ends up being an evil monster. You never know what's in the heart of someone when you meet. In this case it was the husband's parents that found the young woman, their daughter-in-law dead after the son told them he killed her.
@@peppermintpattyh8418, to be given away does not mean an arranged marriage. It means that the father trusts the groom to give his daughter to him. The groom is the bride's choice.
He also has to be careful bc at this stage of the investigation, the suspect is just that, a SUSPECT. He hasn't been convicted yet. Also its very common for police to keep crime details out of the press for many reasons.
As he should, he doesn't deserve extra props for doing his job. This country has fallen when people get praise for doing their duties, unfortunately this is what he signed up for. Or was it the nice salary driving around all day living off tax payers, harassing minorities?
I would have to agree. This sheriff is the most kind hearted good man I have seen on the news in my life. You can feel his sensitivity. Much appreciated. Admirable.
That poor woman 😢 ugh, this is heartbreaking. I hope the family receives the support they need to deal with this. I don’t know how anyone could deal with a tragedy like this. As a mom, I can’t even fathom this happening to one of my babies
As a victim of DV myself... there were calls that were called in and then there were many times it went without being reported. I am to this day so relieved I got out of there. Many times I went through cleaning up my own blood and nursing broken bones and bruises. Sad because I lived in a small village where no one said anything til I got out. Congratulating me that I got out. No congrats needed, I wanted them out of my life. They didn't help me then I don't need them now.
We have NO idea what police, fire and first responders have to deal with. And the PTSD that it leaves them with. So very sad for the loved ones left to face this loss.

This poor Sheriff. He's gonna have visions of this the rest of his life. You can tell how deeply disturbed he was from the scene he witnessed, and yet he gave such a professional, dignified, sensitive "report" of what was found. My heart goes out to the family of the victim, but also to everyone that had to work this scene.

This is horrific. This poor woman, I can’t even begin to imagine how scared she must have been. It must have been so hard for his parents to see this horrific scene, knowing your own child caused this devastation. As a parent of 3, who completely loves her kids and is willing to do anything for them, there is no way I would not call the sheriff if that was my family. I think most parents would call the sheriff.
I adore my suns and the beautiful grandbabies they've given me *but* I'll be damned if I don't hold them accountable for the rest of my days. I've driven one of mine to the police station to turn himself in after a street cam caught his hit/run accident and it was on the morning news 🤦🏾♀️.
What an amazing sheriff. He is clearly extremely affected by this and knows that his first responders are as well. I've never seen someone restart a press conference in such a way. I've never seen someone say, "Ask me whatever you want.." I think it was easier to break up the conversation that way than to somehow get through a 10 minute briefing of the entire horrific crime scene. So much respect. I hope all of those affected are somehow one day able to heal, or at least find some semblance of that.
Show me how this officer behaves and interacts with citizens before you say he's an " amazing sheriff. "... Handling an interview or press conference well, does not, alone, show an "amazing sheriff."

Just last year I heard a retired FBI agent say that he didn’t understand all the attention focused on the Petito case, when more than 3 women a day are murdered by their significant other.
As a victim of domestic abuse myself, when the cops are called, they get a miniscule view of what really goes on, so it doesn't surprise me that the previous calls were nowhere as violent as this incident. Not only does it escalate, most of the abuse is hidden, and often forgotten by the victim right after as a coping mechanism. RIP

Thanks to everyone showing compassion not only to the families involved but to the first responders as well. My husband was a Law Enforcement Officer for over 30 yrs & I can tell you the public has no idea of how bad it is out there & the crimes have gotten so violent. It’s a WAR ZONE! Some people have become so deranged & dangerous! The things the Officers see is life changing. My husband broke down a few times over the years because of the horrific things he saw, mostly when it involved crimes against children. Please remember most of these guys & gals become Officers because they want to make a difference & keep everyone safe! My husband told me that most people are kind & thankful on the streets when they show up, but they are just scared in general. He never lost his faith in humanity even if I did a few times.
To all the police, first responders, ambulance drivers, firefighters, nurses, anyone working these scenes-thank you for taking on these jobs and living with the memories that come along with the hardships they carry. You certainly don’t get enough respect, praise, or funding.

Another young woman was beheaded on the street in front of her house in Belmont CA by her partner a few months ago. Our whole neighborhood was traumatized by the crime. Wth!!

Yep. This guy needs a fast track to death. He's admitted to it. Innocent until proven guilty is not an issue. If more people that did this were killed within a week. That beautiful young lady deserves justice! I feel for the sherriff who clearly is feeling the heavy wieght of dealing with the severity of this evil murder. Domestic violence is still not fully understood by the public or dealt with appropriately by the court system.

@@rjay7019 I'm from Texas and it could happen but as soft as the justice system has become over the years I wouldn't bank on it. Life in prison seems the way everyone goes now. It's sad to think this horrible, evil thing wouldn't get the death penalty.

Domestic Violence and Domestic Murders aren't about letting go though. It's about abuse and control through brutality which abusers are not interested in quitting. The statistic for domestic murders of spouses is 9/10 because one of them wants to divorce.
You can tell not only is he a real man with dignity but that he got into law to make a difference because he loves his country and fellow citizens. It's sad he had to see this.

When he said that it’s the way the world is today, and the families are going to be affected since it’s so gruesome …I really think he himself has been affected by his demeanor. I hope he makes sure to get some help, which I think most police departments have counselors. Prayers for the families and for all first responders involved.
This is the second newly wed who have been murdered by her husband. One black woman within approximately 72 hrs . The beginning of this year sickening.
