Marriage is supposed to be forever. There’s no secret to being together and happy for so long. No luck involved. You just don’t quit. Instead of using divorce as an answer, use kind words that lift up your partner. Be willing to just listen. Don’t make assumptions because they’re always negative. Forgive and forget. Communicate. Trust. Remember always you’re on the same side together. Protect one another. Do something genuinely kind each day. Learn to know when you’re wrong and immediately admit it and apologize. Let no one come between you.

This honestly made me cry, because it's so sweet and genuine and loving. I messed up things with the girl of my dreams of 17 years and I regret it everyday and I miss her everyday and this lifelong relationship is something I have always wanted, but it's been 5 months and still no word after so long.
