I noticed Zach will twiddle his fingers when he's thinking about what to say, exactly like a signing person's version of when a hearing person says "ummmmmm...."
Hi. I’m a 15 year old high school student and I wanted to know if you guys could make a video about how to get involved in the deaf community. I still have a lot to learn but I really love the language and I would love to be able to expand my capabilities. I hope you see this. Love u guys so much 😁
I love your video and your channel! As a learner of ASL and Deaf culture, I was wondering if you can make a video about a time where Zach interacted with Courtney's friends (who may be hearing) in social events? Like, do you guys pass notes back and forth with hearing friends? Do the hearing friends take ASL classes for communicating with him? Zach, I would love to hear your perspective and advice on what do you want the hearing people to know when interacting with a Deaf person in general.
I like sign language, very expressive and it’s lot of fun and gives tranquility after watching RU-vid for a while and hearing all the noice. Watching you I enjoyed the beauty of the language!
"I love all of you and who you are" SO SWEET! I love watching you guys. Also, I find it somewhat funny that your videos make me laugh out loud when no one around me hears anything... but I suppose that's normal! Blessings to you two!
i just found your channel! (i’m learning asl) and i just wanted to say the energy between you two had me smiling and intrigued throughout the whole video! 🤗
Awwww! You two are sooo cute together!!! Zach had great sweet answers about you and you can see the love between you! ❤️ OMG, the squirrel! I want one! 🐿
I'm currently learning ASL (this year is my second year taking it) through my one friend. I LOVE IT! The Deaf/deaf communities are so amazing! I love the culture and the signing is so amazing! I'm hoping to further my education in ASL and pray that I can incorporate into my career!
I swear I am not usually a "commenter" but I can't help myself … you two are BEAUTIFUL. I pray that more young people find the type of love you have. That's it … I'm not a commenter!
I’m 15, and I have been teaching myself ASL for 4 years online now. Growing up, I’ve always wanted to be an ASL interpreter. Now that I’m older, I’ve been more focused on the salary part, and if I will be able to make a living out of that salary when I’m older. Since you both probably have a lot of experience either in interpreting/with interpreters, do you think you could provide some information on this topic. Love ur videos btw!
You can definitely make enough as a sign language interpreter. There are also so many fields of interpreting you can work in. You can be a FreeLance (FL) interpreter, which is awesome because you can set your own schedule, but isn't always consistent. You can do FL and VRS Video Relay service, which is pretty consistent. You can become a staff interpreting at universities or k-12 schools. When you are certified and if you wish you can work in hospitals or even legal settings.
I'm hearing, but I really need to learn ASL because sometimes I go nonverbal or otherwise have much difficulty speaking (I'm autistic). It would be so much easier to be able to sign instead. Mom took a few semesters of ASL probably 2 decades ago, and I could easily teach her what I learn. My brother would be able to pick it up. Don't know about my dad, he relies heavily on the spoken or written word, and usually can't discern gestures. No idea if he could learn sign.
deaf and hearing couple live in home. how to improve a money how to share the most love you need How to pride what you want to happy. not much , a plainly mood. do not forget about the divorce , the debt is expensive. do not tempt ! where you hurt cause abuse I may be aware or not you wish a best lucky
OurSignedWorld so I started to write out a description but it got really confusing so here’s the Wikipedia page: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codenames_(board_game). I definitely think that it’s a game that would work in ASL without losing any of the essence of the game! I actually played it with a group of friends last month and one of the players is an ASL interpreter, but since I was the only other person who knows how to sign (though English is my first language), the other players said we had to play in English so the person who is an interpreter couldn’t send me secret messages while deceiving the other players, haha
Importantly , remember the needs book you read , an example. sex relationship is safe you do learning carefully changing somehow attitude you wishful the best lucky you
This was too cute!! Also, my first name is the longer version of your middle name, and you’re three years older, but your birthday is only five days before mine! Thought it was too coincidental not to share :)
that squirrel is so cute, I cant believe it gets so close!! anyways Courtney, I just have to say you are so pretty!! also, I just really appreciate watching these videos because you guys don't sign overly fast (most of the time hehe) and I am able to pick up quite a bit of it. it's so helpful for my receptive skills! :)
I subscribed to your channel so i have something to watch on mute aside from those askreddit videos (the robot voice is so irritating! So I always mute those). Sometimes I want to watch RU-vid videos but can't handle the auditory input, if I'm dealing with sensory overload.
I really want to learn ASL I feel a calling to be a minister and would love to be able to talk with deaf people but I don't have money for ASL classes. Do y'all know of an app that is good for learning ASL?
Dustin, you HAVE to check out Lifeprint.com and his RU-vid channel (Bill Vicars). He firmly believes ASL should be free to learn! Good luck! Also, if you're on Instagram, I do some sign videos and you're welcome to follow along (@backyardener). God's biggest blessings to you!
