Picked this up to replace my hurricane kit bin. Plenty of room for tarps, extension cords for generator, lanterns, etc. Lockable and fits in our jeeps. Got it at HD for half the price listed on Amazon.
I picked one up so a can put all my camping gear in. It fits in my tiny apartment standing up using less room and it fits in the back of my car. Has a nice seal on it and a way to run wire to plug in your battery’s or what ever. So if you wanted to build a battery box out of it it would work out good.
Got this as an xmas gift after making a sarcastic comment that I only wanted rubber made totes for moving to a new apartment. It's obviously "sturdier," than a rubber made tote that you would use for storing / moving household items and clothes. However to call it a job box is a huge misconception. As someone who does professional work I have tools that a battery alone costs more than this box. The plastic it is made out of is a cheap polymer not even the same quality polymer used in the milwaukee packout or dewalt tstak products. Not to mention the lock is nothing more than a flimsy gimmick. A job box is made out of metal and the locking mechanism is built into the metal box and very hard to steal as it can be chained to the damn job structure. This box you could get into with a sawzall in under 30 seconds. The tote that's inside only slides partially and extends too deep for an even storage level to be maintained underneath. It's close to 40 lbs empty with nothing in it if you're planning on storing clothes or households stuff in it and dimensionally it's bulkier than any storage bin you're going to be used to. Personally it's got great design concepts that were poorly executed with cheap ass material. Due to these circumstances if you have professionally grade equipment, not home depot specials, and harbor freight equipment it serves no value to you. It offers zero real protection to your tools and the plastic is so low grade you can't leave it outdoors in the Northern parts of the country where you get snow as ice easily cracks plastic like this and fluctuating temperatures will destroy this plastic in no time. Honestly wish it would be taken back to the damn store and my father would get his money back because I have zero space for it, like I said I can't find a single professional or home owner application for it and all it has caused is a fight at this point. If you're going to spring for a job box and it's going to be made out of plastic spend the extra money and spring for a milwaukee or dewalt product. If you're a home owner it's more than likely more than you need at a price that isn't even right for it at $99.98 home depot special price.
