@@oakiewoodsman I appreciate watching someone who knows what they are doin, I cringe at some of the videos i see but one thing i will NEVER do is beat someone down, or leave a snark comment i will always speak in good tongue. Its sad alot of ppl use this platform to make themselves feel good by bashing on people, that must be a small mount setup then im guessin? The smallest big saw i have is a stihl 391 i have a climber and a lil 180 i use for carving. But id like to make a suggestion on your next saw....572xp...it is a monster, stock even, if your rakers are hungry you better hold on! Amazing saw!
@@oakiewoodsman Oh yeah. Per the people I've spoken with the 550 is the high-revving brother designed for faster cutting of smaller wood and limbs. They set the 545 up to be little less zippy but more torque. They both definitely have their place but I know which one i'd want!
Ya, honestly this thing revs so much and is already really responsive. I figure the saw may last a little longer than the 550xp due to it not running so "hot"
I am sure it will since it performs similarly to the 50CC 545 and 550XP. I believe the 550 is a bit quicker and the 545 a bit more torquey but a tad slower. The 261C is a bit lighter and also on my short list for saws I want. As far has the chain goes, I hand file em till there is nothing left.
Hope you have someone else splitting thos blocks. Or a splitting block cut on the same angle.... only way i know this works is when my saw was cutting angles great i had to cut a splitting block to fit. + fix my chain & bar .. hey but we learn as we go ..sometimes
The 51 isnt even in the same ball park. My dad has a 51 and i have a 550 mark 2, the 550 acts like a 60 class saw compared to the 51, its just flat out fast and a screamer.i almost think my 550 will out run my 372 oe in smaller wood

I do but when there are just a couple bucks down low I prefer to leave the larger saws in the shed and limb with this excellent tool. Thanks for sharing
What region are you in? I find I don’t mind that setup when I am working on my pines but do not like it working with broader canopy deciduous trees with long large leaders all over the place.
