Not much snow here in S.W. Arkansas but after a snow storm and refilling my non-ethanol tank I had my saws and boat motor containinated with water.. Didn't take long to figure it out and learn about K-100...!

Thanks Scott. An easy enough fix. I see a lot of equipment with water in the fuel tank. Some of it I really have to wonder how it all got in.

The autotune algorithm must have been going nuts trying to tune the saw with all the water in the gas. It would have been interesting to see the error codes on that one. On a job like this, do you initially run the saw, or go straight to working on it?

I used to always run equipment to experience the complaint. These days I usually just dive into it because I can already associate most complaints with the problem. If I am going to run something because of a weird complaint then I look in the tank and cylinder first.

Echo trimmer follow up. …..grommet is great shape. Replaced fuel line and check valve. Found there was a small burr on the gas tank. Used a razor blade to remove.

Thank you for the video. I mill oak trees with my 565 and when I take off the air filter, the chamber under it is covered with the oak dust. Is it something to be normal or an action needs to be taken? Never had any problems with the saw though.

Dust entering the engine isn't a good thing. You could examine your filter with a flashlight and check for pin holes. You could also grease the seal if there is any evidence that dirt is getting in that way.

My 3120 had same problem. Dumped the tank out. New gas. Cranked n ran fine. Another time it wouldn't run right it was a loose muffler. Q: runs great now but the clutch prevents the chain from spinning when i dog it into a tree.. gotta take it easy.. way too easy.. What could get it ripping? East Tennessee.

Make sure the chain is in the rim drive and the drum isn't covered in grease.

Scott I know other than all the water in the fuel some people replace carbs on the new auto tune saws and don't understand that they need to be updated with new software or reflashed

Thats true but this one started right up and ran good in a log. If it was replaced, someone put firmware in it.
