How would the fines get in the fuel tank? Or do you think they fall in when he opens the cap? This is one of those repairs where I'd like to see what the inside of his gas can looks like.

@@TheGreasyShopRagfell in when filling up wood be my guess. I carry a HF chip brush and clean around both caps before refilling with gas / oil

@@fabzacres-blackcat Thats good practice. Every so often I see a chip brush in customers saw cases.

@@TheGreasyShopRag You can also use an old toothbrush 🪥 to clean around the caps - only takes a minute and is cheap insurance. The Husqvarner caps are the cats ass but the STIHL flippy caps are an inferior design and the cam lock sometimes gives up the goose and your legs get a mix oil bath . I could never figure Why STIHL went away from the tried and true old school black threaded caps.

Its not luck. Maintenance is everything and it sounds like you're doing a great job. Keep it up!

Ya sometimes saving money actually costs you money.

The official word from Husqvarna is 23 degrees or colder or snowy conditions to keep snow out of carb area.

@@TheGreasyShopRag For giggles i looked up what 23F is in Celsius. -5 That makes more sense then 23F LOL

I think the owners manual states inspecting the fuel filter should be done monthly. I seem to remember reading somewhere that they should be replaced every 100 hours.

The saw was running fine. My audio had to be run through a noise reduction filter too many times to salvage what I had. I always run chainsaw repairs through a log afterwards. My employer allows me to hang a camera over the bench because it doesn't really cost him any time (wages). If I had to set up a tripod and stage a shot an all that monkey business then it would be eating up time while I'm on the clock. I'm happy to be able to capture the video I'm getting now. @TheGreasyShopRag I just knew something didn't sound quite right...I see so many video shot with an IPhone that loud noises disrupt the audio and it takes them several seconds to recover once loud noise is shut off. Like if they start speaking to soon after shutoff...You can't hear a word they say. Good to know they are ran more off screen and thanks for making the videos!👍 Have a great weekend!
