Great video mate full of useful information. I pretty much had the same mods done to mine. The fuel filler was a must as it was only a matter of time before the key breaks not to mention debris falling in the fuel tank. With regards to the fan good call these bikes don’t like slow 😂. Things are very hot here in Australia and you may not need this mod but using a 3 way switch which allows you to use the fan with the thermostat, override the thermostat and keep it running and turning it off completely is usefully. If you see a very hard steep slow section you just turn it to on all the time and it really helps the engine. Also in very deep crossings it is good to be able to turn the fan off to avoid damage the the electric motor or the fins bending and cutting into the radiator.

Thanks for the info! Fortunately we don't have deep water crossings here. And i normally don't like fan switches, because i have to remember to turn it on. I like it to do its job automatically. Its annoying at times how much more these bikes need out of the factory!

@@Ride2Xplore you misunderstood the three way switch is most of the time in the auto position allowing the fan to work as per normal. The other two settings allow an override. A very easy conversion but only if you find it necessary. However if you go to Morocco it is a pretty good idea.

@@tonyrdr7207 You are correct I didn't pay close attention to what you wrote. Indeed it's a good solution. I had it on an older bike like this but than switched to a lower temp fan switch.
