I have a Husky 372XT and a little 041 and love them. I also have a Stihl and I don't even pick it up anymore. That saw has plenty of power for a 20" bar, even a 24".

have that same saw for 9+ years. not one problem. and starts on 3rd pull every time. not before or after . 3rd ..i burn wood for heat and cut for other people at times to help them out..and do alot of building on the land and use it for that..has same plug and air filter (clean them when needed). only part that i had to replace was one spraket..not clutch just the spraket..last year.. has never let me down..i keep two stoves burning so thats alot of wood..(home and shop) forgot camp too..happy cutting ...

I had the same concern about the 1 bar nut but have found it stays tight and no problem with it backing off. Good firewood cutting and have a Blessed Day Friends!

Yep I have the exact same saw and the exact same problem on 2nd use , threw the chain and had to file the burs off to get it back on. But have kept eye on that nut and chain tension, saw is great and I burned through 2 tanks of fuel today loving it

Maybe a drop of that blue silicone on the threads of that keeper nut will keep it from backing off

Nice saw. I have never had a Husqvarna saw, but have heard good things about them. Did you know, long ago, the company made guns? Rolling block single shot rifles. Some friends of mine bought a Dewalt battery chainsaw......I thought "What? Battery operated? Can't last long..." WOW! I have to say, it's amazing! Lots of power, no cord to pull, and pull, and pull...just squeeze the trigger and it starts. Let go and it stops while you walk around or move a block of wood. The battery lasts a long time, and no gas to spill. I am very surprised! It's a good saw! Not cheap though....

Hmmmm I will have to google them. Never knew that. I have seen them Dewalts and would like to get one down the road. I used my chainsaws a lot when im building

@@IdahoHillbilly Here's one I looked up quick. A lot of them were shotguns. simpsonltd.com/husqvarna-1867-rolling-block-rifle-z39572/

You have a good looking saw there. Sometimes on a new saw the side plate wont seat all the way due to a casting bur either on the plate, main housing or even the metal guide plates. I have also had (usually my fault) the metal guide plates catch on a thread on the stud and cause the side plate to cock a little when tightening the nut down then pop off the thread during use letting the chain loosen up. The burrs or rough areas will usually go away after some use. I have threw a few chains and every so often the drive teeth will get burred up when the chain doubles back on itself and catches up on the little aluminum leg/stop under the side plate. This happens more on my husky than my poulan probably because the husky is turning more rpm`s. Good luck!

Great saw. Spend the extra $ for husqvarna bar oil. Ran cheap bar oil in mine that I got at menards and overheated bar. Also recommend vp racing fuels 50:1 fuel.

My All time Favorite saw and I have had MANY other then in very cold temps I use nothing but vegetable oil for bar oil and over three years still the same bar and I use the saw daily on my lifestyle

My junior year of high school my Mom bought a sewing shop display Viking sewing machine at the county fair. That was who made them. Later when I was grown I bought a husqvarna machine for myself. I got years of use out of it but later it could not be fixed because of a plastic part. When Mom died I kept the Viking. She was a quilter. It was well used. I am still using it. It has no plastic parts. I'm 65.

Put your chain with the bottom in a vice before filling it to straighten it the best you can save as much as you can so when it rounds the sprocket it don’t jump..

Loosen your tensioner way off so there is a bag I the chain....install the chain on the clutch and put the bar and side cover on....fire it up and blip it a few times, maybe 15 sec runs....then loosen the nut and tension the chain back to Normal....the burrs should be all gone.

Check a new chain frequently. Keep em tight, ... always, or they're likely to go-on-walkabout.

Hmm....think it was sent by AMZN, if ya still have the box, send it back "I've only had this a week and threw a chain" and send the bar back, we can get a 20-24" of your choice? Please advise :)
