Yes sir Artie those Honda carbs can be a pain putting back on. Never understand why people just leave there machines out in the weather! Nice fix Artie👏🏽💪🏽
Congrats, this is one of the best vids I’ve ever seen, and a good tip, always show how to take apart things piece by piece because that’s the biggest help for people, thank you very much God bless.
Nice save job Artie. Honda made it so easy with the fuel shut off valve. All they had to do was shut the fuel off and let it run out of gas or take the drain nut out! 🤔 . Why people leave their expensive mowers out in the elements is beyond me. Store it in the living room ! Lol . Im with you Artie on fixing the OEM carbs if possible. 👍✌🇺🇸Roger
When you cracked that bowl off the carb and that yellow corn syrup came out, I could smell it through my TV. Great job Artie, good explanations of each step.
Thank you for this. You've really out done yourself here cause you've made a fantastic video. I cleaned my carb, put back together & now when I start it it runs wide open. So I need to check the choke, or maybe I even forgot to put the crank vent tube to airbox back on. Thanks again
Thank you so much. I have the same mower it sat in a shed for 2 years and wouldn’t start. Mine didn’t have the emulation tube but took the screw out then used the end of a G string from my guitar to clean all the tiny holes😂 put back together and started first pull. Also took all old gas out and cleaned lines out. Runs like a champ at 5 years old.
How's she goin'? That carb was some dirty and gummed up eh. Nice job getting all the ports and emulsion tube cleaned. And it started up on 1st pull. That's a sign of a good crab cleaning!! Well done buddy!! Take care!!
Way to go, I like to clean the carbs. I have only bought one new carb in my life. I take that back i just bought one for a video I'm working on right now. Because the top arm is broken.
Thanks Rich, we win some and lose some as you know. I'm glad we were able to save the OEM carb. Thanks for your support and Thanks for watching my friend 👍
I have one of those mowers but the awd model with the kohler engine on it. And after working a bit and learning about it; I have found the same thing that you can read about in various forum style websites. The Honda engine is a better choice that’s less finicky and prone to issues.
I did everything you did it starts n stall. Second day after cleaning I let soak. In gas, clean inside out then clean with carb clean starts n stall. I also did to my honda starts n stall. Help me out.
Make sure the fuel flow to the carb is good. Make sure the fuel is good. Check the carb mounting gaskets. Sometimes carbs can't be saved. I wish yoo the best of luck and Thanks for watching!
@@gravelyman Thank you! I ran some Berryman’s B12 through it and it seems to be running fine now. It seems to do this when I forget to turn the fuel off and leave it for a week or so. Think I’m gonna rebuild it all with OEM parts before next season.
hello Gravelyman i have same lawn mover do you still have carburetor part number - i think i need it please pass me the information i can order new carburetor - thanks
Hello Bryan, Look up Hipa Honda carburator. Hipa carbs are good and dependable. This mower is long gone now so I don't have any numbers. Thanks for watching 👍
