I’m interested in doing the clutch lever/ rear hand brake with my Rekluse as well but I’m curious how you check for free play gain without a clutch lever ?
whats the beef with the Xplor forks? love them on my 18 xc-w carb... they get a little squirrely in the quick desert stuff but the gnarly techy shes a beauty. I only weigh about 145 tho
I found they blew through the stroke easily and just couldn't keep up with my riding and racing. It was an easy decision to just pay the $200 difference for a fork that performs great and can be easily adjusted for the conditions.
@@TheHuckHD I sold my Xplor forks before I even got the bike so they were brand new. I got $800 USD for them. I then bought the aer48 forks on Ebay for $1000 USD then had RMR Suspensions install the MXTech midvalve kit which greatly improves the feel
I'm going to add to this, lately I have been finding the need to also have a clutch lever, the kind of riding we are doing really needs it. I'm running a lever on the new TX300I now for when it's of benefit
I’m interested in doing the clutch lever/ rear hand brake conversion with my Rekluse as well but I’m curious how you check for free play gain without a clutch lever ?
Hahaha that's not a problem at all. Just start the bike and slowly turn out the adjustment on the slave cylinder until the clutch just starts to engage. Done. Easy as that
Hey man, I am looking to get either the 250i or 300i when TPI hits the TX line. I currently have a 2017 KTM 250XC with RK Tek Head and PWK Carb with STIC metering block. I weight about 150LBS geared up and ride CA desert and trails.no racing. Which displacement do you prefer?
300 for sure. Just get the 300 tpi and put the air forks with the MXtech midvalve kit which would be about $350 upgrade from the shitty Xplor forks then other than the gearbox its pretty much same as a TX spec
Do you like the 250i or 300i better? Besides the difference in the bottom end is there any difference in the mid range to top end power? Does the 300 rev out as far? Do you find the 300 a little more tiring to ride?
Check my other videos and you will see however to make it easy. The TE300 comes with Xplor 48 forks which are crap, I changed them out for the aer48 forks which are a little longer than the original ones ....so they are dropped down in the trees to compensate for the length. If you leave them high it wont corner properly
Reece Tasker I’ve considered putting the AER air fork on my 2019 tpi 300. Do you have them all the way up touching the bars? What psi do you find works best? Thanks
@@BTRride About 5mm under the bars. I run 137psi and i'm about 200lb (91KG) dry. I have wound up the rear pre-load and checked with the digital sag scale from @rmrsuspensions and it comes up perfect with the stock spring.
