I appreciate the video. The Husqvarna 48" tractor you are working on is a little different than my 3-year-old Husqvarna 48" tractor. I ended up with too many of some bolts and not enough of others. There were a few other differences. The silver control rod would not go through the hole. I had to drill it out a little. It all worked out in the end. The blade is very wobbly. I think I will add additional bracing,
Great video for assembly. Definitely easier than the paper instructions. One thing I came across was when mounting the tube steel shaft over the solid core steel shaft @8:42 there was some welding slag inside the tube steel which prevented it from sliding over the solid piece. You'll need to take a cylindrical file to it and wear it down til it will slide over properly.
This snow blade system is the same one as the craftsman version. I installed a craftsman plow on my Husqvarna and it's exactly the same...but cheaper. Works great with wheel weights and chains.
Hello Purchased a REDMAX snow plow. With your video made it easier and knew how to install quickly. Their directions are bad, Thanks Again/ You made life easier for me
I just bought this. Amazing engineering. I made the mistake of originally buying an Agri-Fab Universal, and you literally have to re-engineer your mower to make that one fit. This one is so much better.
I got a small ford light 120 she’s slow but it works for me a bucket rear blade and rear tiller but I also have a mtd and just leveling the driveway with small scraper blade on the back good luck
And by the way that connecting rod you're putting on there should have at least three washers or a good heavy washer because that thing after a while flops around
Kinda looks like a PITA. Just bought a new YTH24V48. It's getting delivered on Monday along with a bagger. But after seeing this video, think I'll keep my Ariens LT824 snow blower. Also see it's on sale (100.00) less. Hope they will take another 100 off.
Do you know czech brand Vares. I dont´ know why i should ne that difficoult as this. There is only a one pin and for first you only need to mount a hook to the chasis with to screws.
Hello! Thank you for your question. The cutting deck does not need to be removed when using a snow blade on a garden tractor. This is because the snow blade is mounted to the front of the tractor, while the cutting deck is mounted under the middle of the product. Therefore, when plowing with a snow blade, the cutting deck does not need to be activated. I hope this helps! /Your Husqvarna Team
Jag har köpt plog, men handtaget hamnar under broms när jag lyfter upp plog och läger sig nästan på fram hjul( kanske söndags modell, he he). Kan man böja någonstans att lyfta upp?
I bought a lgt2654 not to long ago, wanting to get a snow plow for it,could you tell me if my model has this tex style frame the plows I've found say is required?
Not very. It's a lawnmower with a thin steel blade. You go plowing dirt or gravel with it, and you will bend the hell out of your frame. Today's lawnmowers are large and flashy, but are weak as hell where it counts. My Husqvarna is a middle of the road model. Neither high, nor low end. I opted for one with a reinforced frame. The frame flexes like a mofo just mowing with it. You want something you can really plow with, new garden tractors that could take it will run about 6k on the low end. It pays to keep a real workhorse on hand for real work. Mine is a 50 year old International Cub.
You need the Dozer/Snow blade version, and a Garden Tractor version to push gravel, or you will break stuff real fast with just a snow blade and a regular lawn tractor.
Hey, thank you for your question. Please, visit www.husqvarna.com/ and select your location. In the contact section, you will able to find the information you need. Best regards, Your Husqvarna Team 🌳
Where do I get the brackets shown at 0:48? The ones that mount to the frame and allow for a front mounted snow blade to attach... I have all the other components except for these brackets, and I'm having a hard time locating them.
No washers behind the nuts? Kinda , not good...And.. watched the whole video.. Waaaay to many parts to put together. Most of this should be prefabed, to be assembled. And only the blade brackets should need mounting. That thing must be REAL cheap
They need to get a better engineering dept. My '71 wheel horse is so much simpler. Plow pushes from the rear instead of the front. Off and on with 1hairpin and 2 camlocks in less than 5 minutes..
Jason Miles No, not really compatible without an uneconomical transaxle swap first. I wouldn't put this on a YT, the K46 transaxle on your YT will burn out in a matter of just a few months. This plow is meant to be used on the GT's/GTH's that have the K66 series transmissions in them. These type of plows/ground engaging implements are not designed for the LGT/YT series. You'd be better off with the 42" snowblower attachment instead.
Dirceu Rogerio Da Silva Wouldn't recommend this on a LGT's with the weak transmissions. The LGT series have the K46 which is not up to the task of using ground engaging pulling/pushing implements, such as plows, or graders, etc. The better option for your LGT would be to install a snowblower instead to alleviate any unnecessary drag stress on your K46. The snowblower would take the place of your mower deck during snow season.
Where is the person telling you how to while actually doing this video is not goo you just have guys there assebling the snow blade there is no one there discribing what is actually going on like a good how to video would have
im wondering why they show the washers going between the frame and the brackets when in reality they go behind the nut on the outside of the bracket so the square part of the carriage bolt holds the bracket where it needs to be and solid.. WOW
Actually its a shim, not a washer, designed to bring the mounting bracket out away from the frame to make it even. If you look at the upper bolt, it doesn't use the shim because of the extra frame piece. Otherwise, without them the bracket would be cocked and it wouldn't mount properly.
yeah... I saw that too.... lmao.... unless they are using as a spacer and then there should also be a washer (maybe a bit smaller) between the nut and the assembley
The shoulders of the carriage bolt extend through the frame. The large washers accommodate that material for a flush fit. Actually good engineering. Otherwise would require special carriage bolts
My gt52xlsi was the worst investment I ever made. 157 hours and that dumb smart switch stopped working! Please contact me and offer a solution to replace that weak weak weak smart switch!
The written instructions are useless. Illustrations are poor at best. Follow the video. Make sure you attach the blade skids prior to attaching the blade to the tractor, it will be much easier.
How come not to left hand instead of a right-handed don't you think it'd be better right handed then left handed you should be able to put that on both ways either left handed or right hand because I'm I'm right-handed and that thing is a complete joke to me because I can't use my left hand to do that
You know I like your setup for putting the plow on but the plow set up is a joke and that is my comment the cloud design is a joke because the minute you start using it too much for you accidentally push it too hard into the snow the latch that locks it up brakes and then you can't lift it up then you're fixing it up
This rediculous lawn mower , which I happen to struggle with in my garden , can hardly cut the grass, far less will it showel som snow, it is a piece of toy for children
Looks like the finest steel China has to offer. What's that rated for, like half an inch? You can't turn a mower into a plowing tractor, unless it started life as a ground engaging garden tractor. My 1000 pound International Cub laughs at that.
That is practically identical to the blade I have on my Craftsman. The only thing different is possibly the bracket that goes on the tractor frame. These would have to adapt to the various tractors. Otherwise the blade is identical.
I had a Craftsman and now a new model. It is exactly the same snow blade. One other comment: I always had and still having problem with ehe cable (Part number 49808). it breaks very easy. I installed one yesterday and it broke when I was trying on the spot. Made in India. Any comment / suggestion will be appreciated.
Nem tetszik 😮😢! Hozzadalmas , aprólékos , sok alkatrésszel járó munka . Hogy szereli fel ezt egy akárki magán ember 😮😮😮?! Azért a borsos árért amibe kerűlt ! Vagy hívja a szervízt felszereltetni egy újabb borsós árért ??? A konkurencia talán egyszerűbben megoldja ....😅😊😮!
