Please note: the Vitpilen 701 has a up AND down Quickshifter installed. But I didn't like the sound of it while downshifting therefore I decided to blip manually and use the clutch

We came across the super fun Passo di Monte Croce Carnico (Plöckenpass) on Day 2 of our Vitpilen tour. I've been there once many years ago and almost forgot how awesome that road actually is. It's not very long but features the most awesome hairpins! Perfect 701 territory!

Finally the Plöckenpass! We ride this one as a standard for over 12 years now, together with the Nassfeldpass, Staller Sattel, Wurzenpass, and so on. Love the Karnische Dolomiten, be sure to visit Lamprechtbauer while you are at it here! Amazing view :)

Great video! I have a speed triple at the moment and thinking of selling it for the vitpilen. Is the vitpilen the best thing to have fun on with sporty ergonomics? I don’t really like sitting up on bikes (prefer clipons) anything else I should try?

The Vitpilen 701 is a great bike once set up right. Sound is subjective, and i respect that. The triple is more powerful etc, but Vitpilen has a much cafe racer feel

How do you do to dont lose the ND filters when going 100+? I feel that if I go 100+ and look right or left, the wind would take the lens away.

Akropovic does have an exhaust for that engine, Remus has one too and it sounds really amazing.

There's now a full system on the market if you're interested. It replaces the cat and muffler (no need to replace front downpipe to be honest)

Hey Schaaf, hab mir jetzt auch endlich eine besorgt! 😍 Anscheinend gibt es bei der 701 Vitpilen ab und zu Probleme mit der Kupplung und verschiedenen Dichtungen, hast du davon auch irgendwas mitbekommen? Ich hoffe mal ich bleibe davon verschont. LG aus München

Ich hatte meine nur 3 Tage ;) KTM typisch ist leider auch die Husqvarna enorm unzuverlässig. Ich wünsch dir viel Glück, manche haben nämlich auch keine Probleme :)

Ich hab die Vitpilen 701 seit Mai 21 und fahre sie so gerne. Bin zuvor 10 Jahre Yamaha gefahren. War auch gut, aber die Vitpilen vermittelt viel Fahrspaß, tollen Sound, ist leicht und dadurch sehr handlich. Sieht brutal gut aus. Allerdings ist sie auch nicht so unkompliziert wie ein 4 Zylinder muss man ehrlich sagen

Was meinst du mit unkompliziert? Die Vitpilen 701 interessiert mich als Zweitbike, neben meiner Street Triple, auch. Kannst du etwas zur Haltbarkeit und Zuverlässigkeit sagen?

@@tornadogti959 also sie ist sehr zuverlässig. Bin jetzt knapp 9 Tkm gefahren. Kupplungsnehmerzylinder war ein Problem. Seit dem Rückruf aber kein Thema mehr. Einmal hatte ich etwas an der Lima. Das ist aber ein absoluter Ausnahmefall, wenn man sich so umhört. Ansonsten ist sie sehr zuverlässig. Mit unkomplizierter Yamaha meinte ich vor allem, dass sich die 701 natürlich mit ihrem chrakteristischen Drehzahlband anspruchsvoller fährt als ein japanischer Vierzylinder. Immer auf Attacke. Trotzdem finde ich den Motor sehr fein und smooth. Er braucht halt Drehzahl und liebt das auch. Daher rührt ein Großteil des Fahrspaßes

@@tornadogti959ständig kaputt! Zur street als 2 Bike? Für was??🙈😁 die Triumph ist in allen Belangen Meilenweit besser! Wäre so als würde ich neben einem Porsche 911 Turbo einen Fiat Panda hätte! 😂
