Thank you very much for the video. Mine is a little different but this gave me enough information in order to adjust my mower.

Mine is having an issue with moving forward. I have to have both arms in the right position in order for it to move. Will this adjustment eliminate that issue?
@RayofallTrades
@RayofallTrades Год назад
This adjustment is to have it not move when in neutral. To balance the arms, you just adjust the handles at the top most position or some need to be bent slightly

Hey Ray, just got the 42 in. When I go forward with both arms , the right arm go about 3/4 in further and then the mower drifts left. Also need to pull back with right arm to go straight How do I adjust? Thanks, Eric

My brand new 54" ZTR mower has extremely tight lap bars, making it impossible to use for a long time. Can the tension be adjusted on the lap bars or is is possibly something else?

Usually the pivot bolts can be loosened but you have to watch out the the nuts don’t fall completely apart

I have a Husqvarna Z254F Special Edition that is 1 week old with an issue (box store not interested in making the sell good by not offering real help), but when unit is cold (not cold weather) upon starting there is no moving forward or reverse (while moving the steering/park brake arms)- the Hydro-Gear makes a whiny-grinding noise and after a minute or two of moving the steering/park brake arms the unit begins to work properly. Any ideas ?

Sounds like low fluid or possibly the belt is slipping when cold
@theamaturepro
@theamaturepro 20 дней назад
I've had that problem and am pretty sure the fluid is too thick to flow until it warms up a bit. Since most people have no use for a zero turn in the winter, I think this problem goes unnoticed. As long as it functions normally after warming up, I wouldn't worry about it. I don't recommend replacing the hydro fluid, if it's even possible on your machine. For warranty, unless you bought an extended warranty, call Husqvarna directly. They've been helpful to me in the past

What causes it to do this in the first place? Mine just started doing this about 3 uses ago.

Usually loose connectors or bent arms

Just got a new Z48F special edition delivered and had to adjust the deck and need to adjust the steering now! Is this how I also fix a drifting to the left problem? Manual doesn't even touch on it! -- And the arms are making a VERY annoying whinning sound! Especially when you try to turn with the throttle at lowest. Is there a way to fix the noise problem? It sounds to me like somethings not right just don't know much about zero-turns yet.. Any help will be greatly appreciated and I will sub for sure! :)
@RayofallTrades

Is it new or new to you? Sounds like the hydro fluid may be a little low but yes they always make a groaning noise especially at idle

@@RayofallTrades I just got it delivered. It arrived with the deck so high it wouldn't touch a blade of 4" high grass so had to figure lower it and level it. The seat wing bolts were just laying under the seat on the frame! - The guy at Lowes told me i'm not supposed to drive/steer it with the throttle at lowest setting. I had a toro for 13 yrs and would drive it with out the pto engaged in low throttle and didn't have no problem. He said it stated that in the manual. BS! The manual doesn't say anything about not steering or moving the mower when the throttle is at it's lowest. -- Maybe I'm wrong thinking it should steer just as good in low throttle as it does in high throttle but like I saidd the Toro sure did. - I mean when this Husqvarna is in low throttle I can't even get it to move an inch! - What would you do? Thanks for your time! --- Subbing to your channel now! :))
@RayofallTrades
@RayofallTrades Год назад
@@scottyboy2400 the steering is done by pushing hydraulic fluid through the drive motors. The handle is really just a valve (or gate if you will). The more you open the valve, the more fluid can turn the motor. The pump (fluid supply) is driven by a belt off the motor so the faster the motor, the higher the pump can deliver. All hydros make noise at any speed (more at low speed) but the engine noise masks the hydro noise. The stores "advice" is likely so that more fluid is available for the wheel motors. Temperature, viscosity, design, age, all play a role in the effectiveness of the fluid. Thanks for watching!

Hello Sir. My left control arm lags about 4/5 inches behind the right arm when I drive straight. Do you know what I should adjust. There are no loose bolts/nuts/linkages. Thank you...
@RayofallTrades
@RayofallTrades 24 дня назад
That’s pretty substantial. I would try to compare the linkages visually and see if they look the same. Also check the arms. When you start it and they are in home position, does it move before lifting the arms? And how about reverse? Is it the same offset but backwards?
@jimberg4917
@jimberg4917 24 дня назад
@@RayofallTrades First off thanks! I have no creep whatsoever. One arm lagging both forward and reverse. I thought it was an easy fix... but.
@RayofallTrades
@RayofallTrades 24 дня назад
sounds like the adjuster needs tightened (or loosened). It should look like a nut that has threads on each side. Take a measurement and turn a few turns then measure again to make sure you’re going the right way
@RayofallTrades
@RayofallTrades 24 дня назад
Also, some arms have a connection half way up the arm that can be adjusted. You would see a bolt there
