Hustler dash review 

I have ordered a 34" Dash XD, because I wanted the larger Kawasaki 15HP engine. Hustler definitely makes a robust mower. The frame and deck are welded and fabricated, not stamped. I am looking forward to it's delivery.

You bought the cheaper version. I have a hustler dash 34" with the Kawasaki engine much stronger and better, i use it for my lawn business and have zero complaints. As far as you using a walk behind mower to go around the fence using a weedeater is much better.

The 10.5 hp 344 cc 22.75 NM torque Briggs and Stratton engine is under power for a 34 inch especially for mulching thick grass i wouldn't recommend. The new model Hustler XD Dash 34 inch comes with Kawasaki FR541V 15.1 hp 603 cc 39.1 NM torque V-Twin, OHV engine. For a 42 inch you really need a 22 hp V-Twin, engine. There is nothing worse than an under power engine when it comes to grass cutting.

To be honest, I think hustler should include the back plate. I had the first series hustler raptor with the kawasaki 23hp motor and I was stupid for getting rid of it.

I've got one and I hate the Briggs engine. I got a great deal on mine, though. The Briggs has a cam issue: the lobes are pressed on. It's not a one piece milled cam. I'm selling mine before that happens and getting a Big Dog Alpha 36 inch. As you say, you can trim a little Betty with it

Good video!! I am wanting to buy this mower and my question is my yard gate is 37.5 inches wide and I can see online the specs say this mower is 37.5 with the chute. Do you think if i remove the grass chute like you did it will fit through my gate?

What's the round part that is above the fuel filter that is connected to it? Mine it's leaking oil from it

Hey! Thanks for making the video on your dash. You are right, there is nothing online about them! Do you still wish you had at a bigger deck? I’m similar to you, the 34” would fight in my gate no problems, but I like the idea of a bigger deck to get closer to obstacles. But then I would have to make a bigger gate (my gate is 44”)

How does it cut vert nice?

Have you ever had issues with getting yours to start? I think it might be a safety switch issue…but I haven’t seen any videos regarding this issue with the Hustler Dash. And I can’t see the safety switches. Do you know where they are???
