Great information if your ductwork is running through an attic or unconditioned spaces . For people in the Midwest with basements & ductwork running through conditioned areas, leakage is not that big of a deal, as long as it’s making it to the conditioned area . By far static pressure is the biggest killer here in the Midwest (and that boils down to improper duct size,a killer no matter what neck of the woods you live in💨 ). Manuals J,D,S & yes the one that no one uses, manual T & Life will be good (at least the HVAC system will be good 😂).
I am watching all this content and I’m realizing why some houses just never feel comfortable even though they are not hot. The average consumer is so underinformed about HVAC including in the car. People almost never set their controls correctly and don’t understand anything except they think it blows cold air. To think that the largest expense people have every month is their electric bill and they do crazy things like turn it off during the day thinking they are saving money when it takes all night working at higher amperage to cool and dehumidify. Immigrant people here in Houston ride around in 100º heat at a 78º dew point with the windows down thinking they are saving gasoline while completely sabotaging the aerodynamics of the car, actually creating much more drag than the ac compressor does.
hello, I want to know about a device, It's luck like a filter drier, located in the discharge, close to the compressor, in condenser units, carrier, and Goodman, I appreciate your help thank you
I test airflow often but in comercial/industrial systems. I wish there was a better or easier/quicker way than traversing with a hot wire. Thats all i have for somewhat accurate measurements. I also test tesp to compare results
