@@airhunteruk we were fortunate are guess as we was brought up with em, but gave the pcp's some stick, then it was back to "wot the hell" beast of a rifle, soooo rewarding though, just made me laugh how chuffed yer was, specially the second kill 😄😁 brilliant 👍🏻

Cheers Stephen, yeah definitely more rewarding when you get a kill with a springer, I've actually sold the 97k as I've never bonded with it and too heavy to lug around for pest control so I'm looking to buy a 95k instead, thanks for watching 👍

Just drilled a small hole in the stock and then screwed in the sling stud

Nice I've got the hw100 in .177 my self my favourite gun to date , 100 percent reliable perfect for hunting and target work , I've actually just sold my 97k and will be purchasing a 95k as there lighter .

@@airhunteruk we seem to be moving parallel, I started to regret replacing my HW97TK with the lighter HW57, wishing I had gone for the HW95, HW98, or the HW90 (the gas ram). After a dozen shots zeroing the scope, just as I was satisfied, the shot placement would wander, it was only when the stock fixing screw in the trigger guard dropped out I found out why, this has happened a second time. Now if I go off target that trigger guard screw is my first check point. I'm wondering if I should use a screw locking solution, but not one that cannot be reversed.

Erm not sure about any locktight stuff but I know my 97k I would always check the stock screws before shooting as there would always work a little loose I think the massive twang and recoil would just cause it after multiple shots , as much as its a stunning rifle I just never bonded with it , hoping to have more success with the 95k

@@airhunteruk curious that you always check the stock screws, I've never previous had to do that with HW air rifles, Gamo, yes, but I put that down to inferior materials and workmanship. Still, now I know, a quick tweak beforehand will become routine.

There weren't always loose its just because they were to begin with so it just became a habit

@@airhunteruk Ive got a permission shooting wood pidgeon have u got any basic tips for me mate do i need to set up a hide and lay decoys etc ? Im still in the learning phase of hunting at the mintute

What's the permission like buddy is it woodland or around a farm and buildings ?

@@airhunteruk open barley field with wood land and hedge rows round the edges

Definitely I'd have a go with a hide and a set of full body decoy pigeons, woodies are a bit more scittish than feral pigeons

​@airhunteruk I've convinced tge Mrs to buy me the synthetic staneless for Christmas like but I do intend around Feb to get it in a sheffield custom stock as they look the bollix I'm the custom stocks then it'll be a nick simmons tune all being well had a nightmare with my 100 lately so could do with a good springer so I never have to fall back to my cheap remington again lol

You really should check before commenting buddy , crows steal from food stuffs on farms , cause massive problems in lambing seasons, there are known to attack lambs and peck there eyes out resulting in death , they can also spread disease and cause damage to property!

There's always one 🙄, private rd on private land , with full written permission and run my own risk assessment! It's a cattle auction that's Gated access , it's not a main rd with no public access at the weekend , I can see in both directions for 300 yards , my pellets fps is 731 fps , nothing left to right think it was safe , what do you reckon!!!!
