Book a 1-on-1 Clarius demo: clarius.com/ge... In this video Dr. Brereton performs an ultrasound-guided suprapatellar Durolane injection with a lateral approach in his patient with knee pain.
Just had mine done. 3 injections for 3 weeks. He did use the ultrasound. Had a little pain with the injection but felt fine afterwords. Would rather have this than knee replacements.
@@ddd1dorin396They mumb the skin with cool spray. A little prick and feels like a water balloon being filled and that is it. Very little pain and so far it has helped.
I'm getting this done after work on May 29. I'm on my feet 8 hours a day on my job. My knee is bone on bone and it hurts so much. I'm hoping I'll be worth it.
Just had mine done today. No scan needed and the pain was just a little. He did not waste our time with numbing meds. Just sprayed the outside. I felt a small pinch then I felt very little pressure during the injection. Local anesthetic is a waste of time. Man up!
When my doctor does this he usually uses a RUSTY NAIL and then he will ask me if I felt any pain, I say hell yea, than he says good you're still alive.
Thankfully I work for a hospital and they are going through our pharmacy. Only $20/shot for me. Getting my 1st one tomorrow and then 2 more for the next 3 Fridays total.
Same here. My doctor gave me my gel shot the same way he had given me my cortisone shot. I'm in more pain now than I've ever been. Called his office, and he said it was time for a knee replacement. So disappointing with both the shot and doctor.
I had the gel & cortisone injections but the doctor did not use ultrasound he used an ink pen to locate my knee joint needless to say I still have the same knee pain.
I know , so do I , my knee is hudge since Durolane. I have seen 2 orthopedists 1 rheumatologist! 3 urgent care! I am going crazy since Durolane injection I can’t walk without been afraid to fall! My procedure was remove fluid and inject cortisone and Durolane.
7 out of 10 neurosurgeons miss the target and inject into fad pad. The 3 out of 10 that hit the target, understand the anatomy and physiology of the knee and have no use for an ultrasound device to guide them. This guy is a ND. Hmmmmmm
I had it done on right knee. Pain for like 2-3 seconds max. But soreness and pain in knee for few days after. So its good to rest for 5-6 days and then begin therapy.
I've had 3 surg's on my R knee and i can't count how many injections and fluid withdrawals, my advice is 'Smoke a Big Fat One' before you go in and hold your breath.....i am facing some form of treatment on my knee now and know replacement will be suggested. So, today is my start on researching options......good luck to all 🙂
Hi leahkena - it's Shelley from Clarius. You questions are very clinical, I'm afraid I don't have the answers, but perhaps you could reach out to Dr. Brereton directly?
To inject into blood the needle tip would have to be within a blood vessel which using the landmark guided technique is highly unlikely because 1. There are no major vessels in that area and 2. Before injecting you always draw back on the needle and if you see blood you do not proceed. Using an USS technique injection into a blood vessel would be almost impossible due to reasons above, but also as you can visualise blood vesss in real time. Re bone on bone arthritis you can use it but less likely to give a prolonged benefit if any. In such cases knee replacement surgery is the only real definitive treatment..
@@thomasjones9394 Thank you for the reply. Yes, it is easy to find roll-on CBD oil, but almost impossible to find the THC oil. I have seen some recipes online where you bake the marijuana in an oven, then convert it into a liquid. The smell may have the cops knocking on your door, however.
My husband started taking MoveMD comprehensive joint support he found on the web. It took about 5 wks but his bone on bone pain is gone, it actually worked. He had already scheduled injections so he did start them to help with lubrication. Second injection, 3 are recommended, once a week for 3 wks. He tried CBD oil w/ a small amount of THC but that didn't help. It may have been because he was looking for instantaneous relief.
Got the HA injection today, (6-28-2024) Three cc lidocaine and 6cc synvisc one. I forgot to ask the Dr, how long till I can play golf again? A week? Two weeks?
My name is Barbara. I'm just wondering. Can it be done with my name with phone on phone. My knees ache so bad they 8 every day. They ate at night and it's everyday and i'm sixty nine years old and january
Hi Barbara - As a medical device manufacturer, we can't provide specific medical advice. It's best to consult your healthcare provider for personalized guidance regarding your knee pain. Wishing you all the best!
can you please answer why you did not aspirate the knee fluid first?? I’m going for this procedure and see mostly negotiate reviews. why would you not aspirate knowing the risk of injection would more likely not be inserted properly??
Hi Joes5402 - thanks for your comment. I believe the idea is that when ultrasound is used to guide the injection, the injector can watch where the needle is and watch the injection happen to confirm accurate placement. Ultrasound is amazing for this, and more and more specialists are turning to ultrasound (some are even regulated) to use ultrasound when performing interventions.
I had Durolane injection that went bad from Clinique Lacroix in Qc Canada. I now understand that this is not a 30 seconds procedure. I was also pulled fluid and injected cortisone. If anyone can help me solve my hudge swolen knee I would be so gratefull.
I think you must try and research about nSTRIDE🤔.It seems promising and lasts for about 3 years which reduces swellings, infections and redness of the knee also.
