very popular among the beginners.Den.phal or Hard cane dendrobiums are easy to care for, very hardy and very rewarding.
🌸These do well in hot and humid climate.
🌸These are high light requiring orchids and prefer almost light like bandas and cattleyas.
🌸They will greatly benefit from few hours of morning sunlight or late afternoon sunlight, and very bright light through rest part of the day.
🌸They prefer to be potted in smaller pots with many draining holes.and well draining media like charcoal,LECA,brick or tile pieces and pumice..in areas with dry climate these can be potted using bark chips, coco chips or moss along with charcoal
🌸They don't need winter rest.Thorough watering through out the year .water whenever the media approaches near dryness
🌸As these are rapid growers and bloom frequently so feeding them organic or inorganic fert weekly is a good idea.
Check out my other dendrobium video (repotting process also explained in it)

I enjoyed watching your video again. Thank you. Appreciated the summary of your points too. These orchids seem very amenable to Australian sub-tropics.

Thank you for your excellent video. I am in Australia (sub tropics) and found this very useful as I have just started growing denbrodiums. Please advise how you handle keikis on these hard cane varieties. I have purchased one that has a number of keikis. Kind regards.

Thank you so much for the informative video. Can you do a video on how you plant the seedlings of catleya. My catleyas rot as soon as I pot them.

If you are a beginner don’t buy seedlings…. They are the toughest to grow! Buy less but mature plants only.

They develop new canes n suddenly it stops growing .. n then after few months it sheds it leaves . It doesn’t bloom at all . I am learning that the new canes are prone to being waterlogged. I lost a new cane this way. Question: I discovered that I have 2 plants in one pot. Should I separate them?

While watering do you mix any manure, like Sewead extract or any slow release fertilizer? Another query is what fertilizer for plants growth and bloom we can use and how much we can use

Hi.... had one query, I have same type 30 dendrobiums but flower is a rare thing instead plants produce new growths, one plant gives even 4 new keikes.Even top part where usually spikes come there also keikies come out.

When spike is coming or flower is blooming then we should stop fertilizing or not
