In this video, Sinead, a tour guide with Free Tours by Foot, takes you on a walking tour of Hyde Park in London. MORE LONDON WALKS - • Walking around London
We begin our walk at the Duke of Wellington Arch just across the street from the Hyde Park Corner Underground Station.
We will then begin our time inside Hyde Park with a stroll through the lovely Rose Garden and quick stops at the Holocaust Memorial and the Serpentine Waterfall.
We’ll then walk around the south side of the Serpentine lake to visit The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain, and the Serpentine Lido before heading into the northern section of the park.
There we will visit the headquarters of the Royal Parks at the beautiful Old Police House before continuing on to the Reformer Tree mosaic.
Our walk will end at Speakers’ Corner and Marble Arch.
There’s a lot to see so let’s get started!

Sinead, your the best tour guide I have ever listened to. A wealth of information, and this tour of Hyde Park was so so beautiful. This park is like across the pond...Central Park in NYC. Great tour. I went by this park when I was in London once, but I'm definitely going to go into it when I come back to London.

Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens were home territory to me 50 or so years ago when I lived in Notting Hill Gate. What I lacked was the knowledge you have of the area. Thank you, Sinead, for the happy memories and filling in my ignorance. That was a really beautiful walk. London has so much to offer!

As you walked through that spectacular park---known the world over---I thought of the one thing that I, as an American, would miss. And that would be hummingbirds! Otherwise, I would be in heaven strolling through Hyde Park. Lovely tour.

The black swans are usually seen in st James park near the park keepers cottage on the lake I've never seen them in Hyde park

I don't know if it's true in London or Ireland, but at @24:48 Sinead notes, "I don't think they're allowed to that." 3:55 - I don't get it. In Central London (Zone1) only there's also Knightsbridge and Covent Garden (both Piccadilly), Queensway, Marble Arch, Chancery Lane and Lancaster Gate on Central Line and probably few more, but these are the only ones I can think of right now. Am I missing something?

it is unusual to have a police station in a public park, prior to that they had a prostitute problem in the park, most parks use park keepers or gardeners to try to keep order in the garden but the royal parks use local police to keep order
