Recipe & Ingredients
In first step we will make barista (Fried Onions). Will fry 3 medium sliced onions till golden brown.
Chicken Marination:
-1kg Chicken with bone
- 1-1/2 TBSP Coriander stems thinly chopped
- 1-1/2 TSP Red Chili Powder
- 1-1/2 TSP Coriander Powder
- 1/2 TSP Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 TSP Garam Masala
- 1- 1/2 Cup Yogurt
- 3 Green Chilies Thinly sliced
- 1 TSP Salt
- 2 TBSP Ginger / Garlic Paste
-3 TBSP Oil in which we earlier fried onions for barista.
Mix all these well and let marination rest for at least 30 minutes.
Milk Jhol:
-1 cup milk
-2 Sliced green chilies
-1/2 Teaspoon Safron
-1 TBSP Coriander stems
-1 TBSP Mint leaves
Rice:
We will boil 800 grams basmati rice. In this we will add 2 Cinnamon sticks, 8-10 Black pepper corns, 8-10 Cloves, 2 bay leafs, 2 black cardamom, 4-5 green cardamom, 1/2 Tsp Cumin seeds and 1/2 TBSP Salt.
We will boil 70% rice till they are 1/2 cooked and remaining 30% rice till they are almost cooked.
In a pot now we will add the chicken, then we will add first layer of 1/2 cooked rice, followed by some barista (fried onions), Milk Jhol 2 TBSP,
and 1 TBSP Ghee and will repeat. At the top layer we will add our 305 remaining rice that we boiled till almost done. Layers will be made in the order above.
Finally we will cook biryani on dum for 20 Minutes and after 20 minutes scrumptious and aromatic Hyderabadi biryani is ready to be served. Enjoy!

Salam saad I just watched the whole video .. must say it’s an amazing recipe ,just that if u add whole mixed slices in chicken marinade too it will be even more flavourful esp kaala zeera is the key in hyd biryani marination

You should have added at least 1 tablespoon of salt while boiling rice. That's what my years experience tells me

Although your steps were fine, you added no biryani spices that actually add to the true fragrance of biryani. This is just regular curry masala layered with rice.

I added biryani khada masala in rice. This is hyderabadi biryani, and this is how its made. That is why not all biryani’s taste similar 😊
