HYDRA 1 KEY with RARES ONLY!!! | Raid: Shadow Legends (Test Server) 

🐲A quick hydra guide from a non expert 🐲 First tip: the differences between the smallest and biggest chests are very minimal, so IMO, don't worry about getting max chest. I tend to aim for getting at least the minimum chest from each difficulty I'm attempting. Normal hydra is very easy, so I tend to use some of my weakest teams for this fight, OR attempt harder difficulties first and come back to normal with "C-Squad" Second tip: All heads are susceptible to HP burn, try to have one AOE burn champ for each team. Drex is a great free champ for this. Some heads are immune to poison. All heads do damage based on ATK, so decreasing ATK is advised. Third tip: Hydra isn't going away, so it'd be good to start learning how to fight it. Playing hydra more will increase your understanding of what each head is doing. Check their skills and retain a little more info each week. While creating this, I learned more about each head than before. Decay: The head that cleanses, can be provoked, that's their "counter." ✅ Can be poisoned Blight: The head that uses poison cloud, needs block buffs, they also cause lots of poison stacks and can explode those poison stacks, so a cleanser is advised.🚫 Immune to poison Mischief: attacks the target with the most buffs and tries to steal them, typically a "mischief tank" self buffs and has really high resistance to "counter" this head. When targeted directly, mischief has a high chance to make you hit a different head, this can be countered with the Hex debuff. 🚫 Immune to poison Torment: The fearing head, causes fear every time it's hit unless you have perfect veil, people tend to bring Shamael for this head if they have him. Otherwise, lot's of cleansing, block debuffs, and trying not to hit it. ✅Can be poisoned Suffering: This head is super tanky, they also use ally protect which can be removed, stolen (?), or blocked. This head places weaken unless you have strengthen on your team but it's not super problematic at low levels. I don't know the "counter" to this one other than HP burn and ✅ poison work great. Wrath: I tend to think of this head as "The aoe nuke" head. This one provokes your team, and when it's hit gains a stacking buff. When at 15 stacks it hits your whole team immediately and gains a huge damage buff for it's next turn. Multi hits on this head are not advised, cleansing provoke is helpful, otherwise I tend to let HP burn kill this one, and hope my shield is active when this head gets max stacks. 🚫 Immune to poison Last tip: Don't stress about Hydra, it's mostly optional after getting Mithrala. If you can only get the small chest with all 3 keys, it's still worth attempting because Mithrala is that good.

This is what more of the content creators need to be doing! Us newer players are tired of seeing team comps using the same 20 champs that we all know are great; the worst being Ninja since no one new can get him. Keep diving into the roster and finding ways to use lesser known champions that many of use are struggling to make use of. I love this video!

CCs need to be doing more of this - great job. Players don't want to see the best of the very best, we want to see creativity. We already know who the literal best Champs are - its fun to see what is possible.

Hmm if only I had the gear....and if I had the tender and apothecary think that's all im missing...

I know it's fun video but gear available on this account is like 2 years playing time for which even lazy f2p will have many legos and epics that can do normal Hydra with less intense gear. I will point few rares Pounder have unique passive that give 15 ressist to all allies for every buff on him . Also Sentinel who have 80% chance to provoke on a1 and heal himself 10% every turn .

Hyria has ally attack. But it's only with 2 homies and hyria kinda sucks even as a rare. She's *underrated* imo, but still not very good. Very poor dmg for an atk type

Dang it! I was planning this for funsies lol. Awesome job! One champ I have levelled and was looking to use was Castigator. For a rare champ he does offer a solid kit for keeping your team alive and a decent chance to provoke on the A1 for decay. If you get him fast enough it becomes very difficult for any of your champs to die. Then again I am biased towards him as he's been so key to helping progress in the game on my new FTP lol. I've even found him useful for early game Iron Twins where his heal is pretty insane (especially in a fast regen or reflex set).

To be honest these videos are a bit niche because you need a level to reach hydra and by then you already have enough good champions for a single team. The problem is probably the gear. At first, I was happy to reach the first box and I was lucky enough to open royal guard as my 4th epic.

Nub, you are undoubtedly the king of hydra. What I would like from you though is a complete beginners guide to hydra. I’m about 280 days in and still don’t get it. A video breaking down each head, what they do, how to counter, and basic team comps (I.e. not the champs you need but the skills they need to bring). I am just about doing the top chest on normal once a week with 3 keys, just by throwing my strongest champs in and hoping for the best.

Oh man I’ve been thinking about and looking at rares for a week. Mainly voids and had some regrets on ones I’ve fed such as Harvester for 100% two turn block buffs on a 3cd. I finally got a Reliquary Tender quite recently. I could really use a Geargrinder for Faction Wars. I’m slowly building a Steadfast Marshall for (conditional) provoke and veil but as a banner lord his base defense is super low and I need it higher (in percent) than the hydra for his provoke. Sentinel can have an even better provoke plus a decrease attack but affinity would matter. Naturally to help with that I’d not run the team right at reset. Spymaster is nice because unlike some of the older hp epics with damage is based on hp rather than attack. I really wish they’d just go through and change that on all the hp champions instead of having to wait and hope for an individual buff to each one. Oh and I just got Cagebound who I ammliking for ally protection and decrease attack. He has a self shield on the A1 so that seems good for Mischief tanking. He is defense based with 1255 base defense.

Great that you could do this with all rares! It was disappointing to see the level of gear required to make it work, but it would be crazy to think you could do this with a reasonable level gear.

I think if you brought a couple coldhearts you’d probably hit the 1 key too

Good news, Nub:your fan base is rather Raid-knowledgeable. Hyria, the High Elf rare has a 2-partner ally attack. Sadly, I've fed three of her in the last 6 months 🤦‍♂️
