In this video i explained construction , working and symbol of Hydraulic Accumulator A hydraulic accumulator is a vital component in hydraulic systems, designed to store pressurized hydraulic fluid for various functions. It consists of a cylinder or vessel divided into two chambers by a piston, bladder, or diaphragm. One chamber holds hydraulic fluid, while the other contains a compressible gas, typically nitrogen, separated by the piston or bladder. As hydraulic fluid enters the accumulator, it compresses the gas, storing potential energy.
Hydraulic accumulators serve several crucial purposes in hydraulic systems. They help smooth out pressure fluctuations, absorb shocks and vibrations, and maintain system pressure during peak demands or pump failures. This capability not only improves system performance but also extends the lifespan of hydraulic components by reducing wear and tear.
Common applications of hydraulic accumulators include industrial machinery such as presses, injection molding machines, and hydraulic presses, where they enhance operational efficiency and safety. In mobile equipment like excavators, loaders, and agricultural machinery, they provide energy storage for rapid movements and effective operation.
