Something a little different this week. The main boom hydraulic cylinders on this CAT 225 excavator are leaking badly and it’s time for a rebuild. Watch as we get these cylinders off the machine. Tear them down, rebuild the endcap and eye bearing, reassemble everything, and then finally get it put back on the machine. This is not an easy project and requires some larger than usual tools. The cost for all the new seals and wipers, 2 new eye bearings, and their seals was roughly $1000.
