The search for hydraulic performance data continues with this video. After a brief installation of a hydraulic pressure gauge hydraulic oil temp and the max pressure (PSI) it'll generate at a given temperature are logged while mowing.

Very helpful. I suppose could put cardboard in front of oil cooler to push it a bit rather than waiting on summer heat :-)

As I’ve commented before, I think the PRV is letting some of the hotter oil bypass. It would be interesting to see some data on that. Great video. Nice work. I think your a natural at making these videos. Very interesting content

I'm shocked at the pressure difference between the RPM's! Speeding up shouldn't really change pressure. I wonder if the Hydrosplus pump is pushing more than the relief valve can unload. I think with my stock pump, there was barely 100 psi difference between idle and WOT.

That was a similar conclusion that I came to regarding the Hydrosplus pump and the PRV, - speed/RPM shouldn't make a difference to pressure, however if the flow has no where to go, pressure would build up. This is also impacted by actual oil viscosity relative to oil temp, the warmer the oil the better it flows. Yet another question that needs to be answered with some research in to that PRV! Rpm can make a huge difference in pressure. All pressure is is resistance to flow. Since this is a gear pump, there is low flow at low rpm. At high rpm there is higher flow. More flow=more resistance=more pressure. That also why flow and pressure drop off at higher temperature. Higher temp=less resistance=less pressure.
