Oh my god! That glitter is amazing! Ive always wondered if you could hydrodip with just one colour but never actually done it to test it out. I love the effect it gives...like a milky way. Absolutely beautiful!

What is the epoxy for? Do you have to do that? No one explains this.

Yes, for tumblers like this they need to be epoxied to seal in all the design and decals.

Super fun to watch! I loved the riatta glitter so much. I wanted to know , when you fixed your 2 spots that didn't take with the 2times, did you just spray those individual areas again, or did you spray the whole tumbler? Thanks again. Loved the white on white as well and agree with Cathy Miller that they would make great wedding/bride cup!!

I just use a pool noodle that fits inside of the tumbler.

Trying this one today also. I glitter the wrong size cup for an order last week and it has been sitting on my turner just staring at me. My cup is pink and I'm trying to decide should I do pink, purple or white spray paint.

Hello Tray, you can use any tumbler as long as it’s double walled and the steps would be the same as shown in this tutorial. ❤️

Um…is acetone just mail polish remover? And how do you remove the bubbles?

Yes and no, you would want to use acetone as it’s a much stronger base then nail polish, and with a blow dryer immediately following the dip.

Can I ask why you did clear coat first? Could you have coated it with epoxy or is quick coat a different type of sealer for this type of cup?? I’m new at this and want to try but I don’t have quick coat

Yes Amy, just a bucket of water that I sprayed paints in, stirred it ever so carefully and dipped the tumblers right into the water.

The cooler the water the better, Also keep your bucket in the shade if at all possible.

I tried this today, when I did a little stir and dipped my cup and pulled out it was stringy, any suggestions?

My best suggestion is to make sure your water is as cool as it can be without being cold, also dip in the shade I found this helps a lot. I will also say try to avoid metallic spray paints as they are more difficult once sprayed in the water. I hope this is helpful.

I just did my first hydro dip and the water droplets didn’t fall of and now it has water spots..I don’t know what I did wrong 😩

I am so sorry for my delayed response, You can use a heat gun or blow dryer and blow off as much of the water as you can, being careful to not burn the paint.
