Vlog 95-Travels In My Chair. In this video, I will introduce you to Hydromorph Contin, a long acting opioid that helps with chronic pain such as that from Cancer. Because of its properties, it is a drug that should be taken with caution and today I will talk about that.

I agree! Those narcotic pain meds have a lot of awful side effects. My hubby takes oxycodone for pain, but he tries to limit it as much as possible because it causes such uncomfortable constipation. Its definitely a balancing act between managing the pain vs. managing the side effects. But for people with constant pain, those drugs are able to provide a small window of relief.

So true. Living with constant pain is no joke and it is so hard to manage. I was lucky to connect up with that amazing Palliative care physician and it was she who got me on track, including laxatives I hope your hubby can get the constipation under control and make it a priority, according to my doc. Who knew poop could be so controvertible. I'm glad you guys are aware and try to manage the pain as much as you can.

Hi Denise, thank you so much for educating us between these two drugs and the effects of them 😊😊😊. As for myself I went to my doctor yesterday to see how things NGS are going. I basically told her what I'm experiencing and not . I also did blood work . That went well. I had to ask if my Cancer was gone 😁😁 or if the radiation treatment worked. The girl more or less shook her head and said ' for now😳😳😳'. I'm like what does that mean?. So I'm stable for now 😊😊😊..you Rock 😀😀😀...

I was told back in 2007 that because some of my lymph nodes were compromised, the cancer was hiding in my body somewhere and may or not return. And it didn't return until I was taken off Letrozole and it went into my bone in 2021. Now??? Who knows. I see the oncologist in October and we will see. You know my motto. I want to LIVE til I die. Keep on being, girl. You've got this.

I don't know about that because 4 hours after I take the pill, I get fuzzy headed but still have some pain. Working on it with the docs.
