Recently meditated on Hebrews 11, which highlights the Heroes of Faith in the Bible (which is referenced in this song). Something that really struck me was how figures from the Old Testament (Abraham, Moses, and more) were told the promise of Jesus Christ and still firmly stood in their faith and belief that He would come, even as they weren't alive to witness the fruition of God's promises through His Son. I pray that we would continue clinging to God's covenant, no matter whether He returns in our lifetime or in the lifetimes of our future generations.
