Hyosung GT125R AIS / EGR Delete, Engine Modification

This video is to show how to blank off the AIS / EGR part of the bike which restricts vaccum pressure from the engine, deleting or blanking this part will ensure a deeper exhaust tone on cans without a baffle or a straight thru exhaust system, it also gives better acceleration and picks up fast thru the 2k- 5k rev range.
Please ensure if you do this its isn't reversible unless you buy another AIS part for the rear head of the engine, "mine already had the delete done I've just tidied it up and made it less unsightly.

How does this help with the performance of the bike? Like is it more hp or torque or topspeed etc. Thanjs

Hi! Thanks a lot for this video! But what did you do with the part attached to the frame that is connected to the airbox? Should it be removed too? And what do we do with the durites hanging from the admission pipes? I'm sorry if my vocabulary is quite poor... I'm French and I rarely use these technical words so I had to check on Google translate but it's not the best...

Retirez les tuyaux de la boîte à air et enlevez la partie qui est attachée au cadre, les trous qui restent sur la boîte à air les bloquent avec une bonde ou du ruban adhésif, cela empêche simplement l'air d'entrer dans le haut de la boîte à air et ne pas réinjecter les gaz d'échappement dans la boîte à air. Le dernier tuyau qui est connecté aux collecteurs d'admission doit être joint avec les autres tuyaux d'air menant à la pompe à carburant / à la membrane. J'espère que ça aide Take off the pipes on the airbox and remove the part that is attached to the frame, the holes that are left behind on the airbox block them off with a bung or duct tape, this just keeps the air coming into the top of the airbox and not injecting exhaust gases back into the airbox. The last pipe that is connected to the inlet manifolds should be joined together with the other air pipes that lead to the fuel pump/diaphragm. I hope this helps

Will that thin aluminium cope with the heat from the bike?

Yes it should do this doesn't get Extremly hot, I've done this before to another hyosung and a land rover discovery, that's also why I've put 3 sheets with silicone between them all, it's mostly to stop pressure escaping from the engine

Well the difference is not that much for performance, you are not recirculating the exhaust gases back into the airbox, this stops warm air going back into the cylinder and allowing the cold air to come into the engine, also keeps the air filter cleaner for longer

@@sergegonfond9672 yes it's easy to do follow the instructions on the video, and if you want more power then you will have to make the hole on top of the air filter bigger cut around it from the top cutting around the filter hole into an oblong shape, also upgrade the HT leads and spark plugs, get new fuel lines that have a greater capacity and a new fuel filter too, and always change the oil and filter on the engine, you could also put a 250 oil radiator on there for better cooling, but remember to make sure you put more oil for the capacity of the bigger oil cooler, last thing if you make more power make sure you can stop the bike, always check your brakes work correctly

No, the carb models don't tend to have code issues but the efi versions may bring up code problems
