@@flavienadjovi what do you mean how? He’s been doing the same sets for over 15 yrs. That shows lack of creativity, lack of evolution, lack of progression. Ultimately hindering the growth of the dancer and the culture
Textbook example of how power doesn't win every battle, style diversity for Ruggeds/Squadron won the battle. Zeku had 2 power sets, Alvin did 2 as well, with Links and Nelzwon doing power too. Battle was fire though, props, peace and love to both parties.
I keep seeing the same comment about "nothing but power moves" on BreakinMIA's side, but we're not talking about one or two basic moves with a lil' top rock sprinkled in here... These kids are stringing together at least a half-dozen big moves with near-seamless transitions and always on beat 🔥 Sure they can be a little repetitive at times but they're still young and building their repertoire 👍 and I'll admit that their intensity and enthusiasm can be a double-edged sword sometimes but they definitely know how to heat up a battle lol
7:57 during Roxrite' round it's gotta be one the most wholesome pictures. Guys from different countries, cultures, skin color, being a crew and cheering for each other. Hiphop is a blessing.
Super annoying for these groups to have to be told back it up back it up back it up back it up back it up. They’re so amazing. They would know to back it up, but they don’t.
This should be the final... 🤷🏽♂️👀!! This is how bboy battles should be.. HYPED energetic bboys! & Good funky (& disco) & oldskool hiphop music... #DjNobunaga=Garbage
Naah rugged squadron was keeping it fresh, all different styles, complex and MIA had all the same power moves nothing was different or unique. MIA was definitely clean tho. It is what it is
@Jayroow I did not say that some of them did not do good but no, that was obvious and unless this is the first battle you have ever watched, favoritism and robbery has gone on for years. Nothing new here. Overall, that was a blatant L for rugged/squadron. Even a Tie-Breaker would have still been robbery.
@@itspaulbrowntv2595 well good thing you ain’t a judge for this competition then it would be really favouritism at that point. Both crews were wild at that point it’s gonna be who had a clean style and originality. I’ve been bboying going to local competitions since I was 13 I’m 26 now I’ve learned from what these judges look for and they just didn’t have that..I’ve also watched all the other battles that MIA was in they were all doing the same or similar sets. You got your own opinion. Probably one of those people who just stand there and hopes to see “cool” power moves. Nothing you said contributed to why they should’ve won anyway haha
@Jayroow That makes sense, you came in when the scene changed and not for the better. This is why The States were not at dominant for years because the newbies like you, came in after a major change in the judging system occurred.
@@itspaulbrowntv2595 not even from the states, but i know every region has a different style, they adapted by switching it up. You actually don’t get the point tho it’s called evolution, breaking has been evolving for years just like your music and everything else. But the only thing that has really changed in the judging system is an IPad instead of hand going to the winner.. now it really sounds like you just started watching breaking videos not actually going to events. Also you ain’t even pointing facts still this is why you ain’t and cant be judge. And thank you for making my point. “Newbies” like me are making old heads *no offence they taught me a lot* change the game. These events are growing and styles are changing every year.
BreakinMIA took that 🔥🔥 All the way from that hype walk out, the stupid clean routines, Alvin being Alvin, Zeku the only one (on either side tbh) to feel the music up top and really DANCE it out before hitting power. Amazing all around performance by that crew!
If anyone really pays attention, BreakinMIA won nearly every round in that battle, way cleaner, higher energy, routines were more polished, more blow ups, less crashes, and more technical. Ruggeds/Squadron got a couple good ones in, but not even close, textbook bboy bias!
Either you gonna enjoy the hard hitters that are breakin or you enjoy the dance show of dancers? Remember its called a bboy battle for a reason save the dancing and other stuff for the cyphers
Look at each round. A lot of BreakinMIA's rounds where heavily power sets while Ruggeds/Squadron were well-rounded. It's easy to see BreakinMIA getting hype and think they won, but you can't overlook what was missing.
