The fact the Hyper theme is a Tee Lopes-style remix of Fist Bump is really clever, considering the game's a prequel to Forces, or sequel if going on Encore Mode.
My headcannon has always been that the emeralds we see in games after sonic 3&K are still the super emeralds because they were transformed into them. That's the only explanation for how they changed shape.
They actually has that shape always, but we saw them from above instead of from the side, the Super Emeralds were almost as big as the Master Emerald and they became stone reliques once they were used
If I recall, the explanation for why Hyper Sonic never returned was something along the lines of the Super Emeralds being in a different dimension, making it impossible for Sonic to access them?
@@Neodria their power simply went back to the special stages, the chaos emeralds lost it and thats why they aren't the super emeralds anymore, to sumbolize they were once there in the emerald shrine there’s stone reliques that represent them
That theory really doesn't check out, since the emeralds appeared as their modern shape in a few games before S3&K and also there's the obvious size difference and the fact that the emeralds after S3&K can only do the Super Sonic transformation, not Hyper Sonic.
Hi! Creator here, just wanted to say some things: - Thank you for showing off the mod! A lot of people have trouble setting up the decomp so it hasn't got a lot of coverage, I think this is the first video by another person i've seen on it. - Sorry for all the bugs! I wasn't expecting anybody to showcase it soon so i was prioritizing adding new features and fixing them up later. - As of the time of this writing HyperMania is NOT compatible with KiaraGale's ESA mod, and while it does run it introduces many bugs that i haven't found the source of yet. I've received reports of it crashing at random times, not playing certain sounds etc. etc., I was planning on working on Kiara to work some of these issues out if I ever found the time but I haven't yet. - Mobile compatibility is TBA, currently there's only prebuilt versions for x86 Windows and Linux. I know next to nothing about compiling for Android but there's no platform-specific code (at least any of consequence) in the source tree so it should be possible to do it yourself, same goes for iOS.

That would have been cool if it was added into the game. Super Emeralds only appeared in Sonic 3 and Knuckles, no mention or appearance in other games.

wut u mean by copyright claim? i think it was rushed,there is files of hidden palace from s2,its the sprite sheet of the badniks and the boss from the zone,unlike the super emeralds sprites we got,there is no rework in their sprites

@@min2793 Not UI, I’m talking about SSJ 2 or 3. They were kinda already doing SSJ1 after it was revealed in manga which was before Sonic 2 came out. My point is that Sonic having more than just 1 transformations is what’s keeping Sega from bringing hyper Sonic back. Also notice how Dark Sonic from Sonic X & that transformation from Sonic & the secret rings aren’t mentioned anymore

u mean like,they get turned back into chaos emeralds?i guess they do...or maybe they just lose their power as mania shows us grey super emeralds without any power even having the 7 chaos emeralds

Is there a similar mod like this that works for Android, as I already have the game in hand, the only problem is I've always dreamed of playing Sonic Mania Plus Hypermania, but I don't think it can work on mobile devices.😔😔😔😔
We can only hope that the hyper form comes to a modern game and makes it just a white super sonic with slightly longer quills and to make a rainbow aura (to prevent seizures this time 😅😂)
I remember one timee on a encore run i did, i did so well on the special stage that i was actually ahead of the ufo and had to slow myself down to get the emrald.
Why is it not working? I open the ZIP file, open the folder with the mod from there and transfer it to the mods folder, then I launch the mania mod manager, turn on the mod but for some reason it does not have a name, I click save + run and the usual sonic mania starts, I tried everything but it did not work. Help please
Yeah, this mod make mania into perfect sonic game but what if every ability mod from code name gamma and every character and this mod you know not the skin the real abilities that work better debug room that includes the new motnior block that not replace the old one and hyper sonic wip that from code name gamma and restored everything that unused and everything together become into the real sonic mania game that everyone want
