Banishing Hand is a must for serious Zangief players in tournaments, since a majority are all shoto players. Old Sagat would give Gief a very hard time because of the speed and recovery of his tiger shots.

In TAS'es and in real-time playthroughs/speedruns, the AI "generally" acts in particular manners when you use an attack and/or a jump direction. For example, in this TAS, in this particular fight, Dhalsim's AI wanted to walk up to me after those first few combos in Round 1. This isn't planned 100%; if I reloaded the TAS another day, if I repeated this combo, Dhalsim could've just simply attacked me at close range instead of standing there. In Round 2 of the Dhalsim fight, notice that I walked back and forth really quickly after knocking Dhalsim down. Again, this is different than Round 1 because, at first, I decided to simply stand there and see what Dhalsim would do. As it turns out, for most of the reloads, Dhalsim chose to either use a fireball or attack from long range. As such, I had to slightly "alter" his behavior by walking back and forth. Each CPU AI reacts differently to each character you use, and also reacts differently depending on the distance, the moves/jumps that you do against it. By performing a move/jump/etc for "X" amount of frames at a specific distance "Y" while holding a specific "Z" direction, this allows for TAS makers to make the AI in any game in general act "silly", or manipulate it so that the TAS goes along more smoothly or more fun, depending on the category :P

Hah thanks! Looking back at these old TAS videos I did, I can definitely say that I need to work a bit more on, well, everything lol. There are some things I'll always do in each TAS video, such as spamming attacks (Light Punch/Kick, etc.), Unique walking patterns, etc. If I get a chance to work on another TAS, I'll probably opt for a Chun-Li one, then Cammy, then perhaps Dee-Jay again.

Banishing Flat (commonly referred to as "Green Hand") is performed in most other SF games with the Shoryuken input. In Super Turbo (or HSF2), it's performed by inputting forward > down + punch. If you're talking about the Spinning Lariat, it's either triple punch or triple kick.

In this kind of "version" you can do either half circle backwards or like dragon punch move i have this verion and i tried both..either one both works in "super turbo mode"

+Joseph Collins Yeah, that does sound awesome, kinda like how Alpha 3's Dramatic Battle and such makes the opponents differ in their Isms selection. I have seen some AR/GS stuff that lets you play as the Boss Characters (SNES and Arcade), but like you said, it would've been nice to do that in this game too!

Tool assisted speedruns are ran on emulators in slow motion, with rewinds and save states. They are designed to be the best you could do with frame perfect skills. They're not using stuff like game genies or anything like that, and they can be reproduced on the real hardware, just not by humans.

+cesarhenrxr First of all, this is tool assisted.. so you can basically input all types of moves withing the fraction of a second. The character wouldn't have the time to jump before the move is executed. Secondly, you can "mask" a difficult throw input by pressing the buttons during a jump (right before you land), or during a move (maybe spinning lariat or a kick).

Carlos Barreto I don't know what macro is, i'm not into the computer language. Well, i can write what i've read many places. People say it is actually possible to play like a "tas" is played, but it is just very, very difficult. If you use a stick as a controller, a 720 may be possible, but idk. You get my point.

Whiff a Banishing Flat, then link it to 720.

And another thing: you don't actually have to turn the stick a full 360/720. You can do a 270/630. Just be sure to start turning from forwards or backwards.
