I had this when I was in icu after coming out of a induced coma glad I saw this I was thinking my family was getting shot and seen a guy pointing a gun at my head was scary tbh
This is heart breaking. I know all about Delirium, because I've been in ICU. It is HORRIBLE!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! These patients need VERY VERY special care. If a patient is in a Stryker InTouch bed, these special beds play music, and nature sounds. These are WONDERFUL for patients who are suffering from Delirium. These patients need nice music, and to be reminded that they are OK.They're in a place where they're being well cared for. Let them know you're not going to hurt them. Get some music therapy for them, and maybe see what book they like, or what their hobbies they enjoy. Maybe ask them if they want a certified music practitioner to come and play for a while. Let's help these patients feel safe while they're in a very unpleasant and depressing place!
