I know it is not big, but Adali get's her own bed room. Fully deserved, she is a great helper around the homestead and has impressed me with doing so much more work on all of your projects so far.
Nice job ripping and sanding the door jamb door stop Ashley! Wow, that little wood stove is adorable! Those tiny bags are so cute! Vortexed hyperadobe courses of bags! You guys are so amazing in what you do! Nice flip of the hammer Jax! Those bags are so cute for the fireplace for the wood stove! We don't need the pesky T-Rex anymore, Jax can take over for him! Such a pretty sunset! The cats love the wood stove cubby! Nice job flashing the threshold Ashley! I love the door guys! I'm so glad "Originate Natural Building" donated that lovely door to you! Kudos to them! Wow, perfect fit! This was a great final video of the superadobe dome build and I'm so glad Hayden got to stay through the few extra things to be done like the ferroconcrete arch above the doorway and the wood stove concrete hearth and cubby hole for it! The mounting of the door was especially fun to watch! Brilliant! Thanks so much for this enjoyable workshop build and series! Merry Christmas!🎄
I'm watching you working on the door with Hayden which is bittersweet because he has to go home Down Under. What a rich time his visit has been. We are going to miss him a great deal.
That little dome with that little fireplace are ingenious. It is amazing and surprising how much math went into building that dome. Congratulations on a job well done.
All right! Almost completely "dried in". Love those tiny bags, and I'm imagining how that adorable woodstove is going to look in there. Love the kitties using it for a playground! And that lovely door...looks like it was made for it! Can't wait for Monday.
perfect. the door opens to the outside, givin weatherproof. strong winds or rain against it jamming the door more shut. thats what all doors to outside should do hayden is a rreally good asset and can teach ashley sooo much
Loving that lil red beehive! So cute! The door looks like it fits like a glove! Yay you guys! And YAY Mr. Metric Hayden! Those kitties had some fun with that beehive too! Also so cute! And BTW, Jonathan, love the hat!!! Very Indiana Jones-ish! Love seeing you all more each week! Love from TN!
The mini dome looks like a beehive. So cute! You could even build cute cat doors or nooks using them. Your cat looked so adorable in this one. This is what gave me the idea.
Lovely add on for the burner, I agree, it's pretty cute.i still think you should have one of these in the future with bee hives in it and openings to the outside world for the bees to access their home. Impressive door with all the windows in it.
Aww it’s looking fabulous now,and it’s got a tiny fire too, that will make it cosy on the chilly nights .,A bit of once it’s been rendered ,painted and some lights in there it will be so cosy inside.I fall more in love with this little dwelling ,every time something new is added.Great work guys..Love n Light to you all 🥰
Physicist here, educated on metric system for doing science, using English units for building cabins and houses in the USA. English / imperial units are a pain in the butt for building - what a breath of fresh air to list door heights in millimeters! It’s like being wacked with a 89x38 to see how much easier metric system building is 🤔
I laugh so much watching you folks!! I just got 82 beers in, so if you're quick and get a flight to the nicest part of England.. I'll get more beers in!! Heydon, get on that boat!! Much love and respect to you all.. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it!! 🍻
Oh my gosh, the tiny bags and set up for the fireplace is adorable, lol! You guys did great measuring in the metrics, even though those numbers for a door opening sounded so weird. 😂
Merry Christmas! ❤🌲❤ Jonathan, Ashley, Adali, Jett, Ada, and Jax! ❤🌲❤If Hayden is still there, Merry Christmas to him too! ❤🌲❤ I love watching your video's, found you guys right before y'all moved the airstream. Love you guys here in Wichita, Kansas. ❤🌲❤
I concur, It is adorable!!! I love it, I love the whole thing(dome) It's just so cool, and to think you accomplished the whole major part of the build in one week!! Astounding!!! It is also cool that Hayden came over, or is it up, lol, all the way from Australia and spend this much time with y'all!! I get that it isn't a vacation for him in the sense that it is a working visit so y'all can put together most of the video work he needs done to be able to post it free to everyone, just like it should be.
Wow! That was amazing. Another beautiful piece of art added to the homestead that is also useful and efficient. Can you just imagine spending the night in that room with the little stove heating that area? Beautiful. I know you guys are really going to miss Hayden (as are we!!).
Well ain't that the coolest!!! I'm so impressed with this cute little bungalow! This entire build has been amazing, but I think today was even more so! Just awesome!!!
I started watching you back when you were working on the chicken garden, and it’s been an absolute pleasure watching your progress. Your homestead is amazing, as is your beautiful family. I’m so glad I found you guys by. Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, prosperous new year! 💕🎄😁💰🎉
Wooohoooo!!! Y'all have accomplished so much on the honey pot!!! It would be cute to make a "honey dipper stick" to scale with the "honey pot dome" that could be used like a lamp post or something like that.....
Awesome job everyone! Love the fireplace & its smaller bags/beehive shape on the outside. This has been a great project. Love the door, hope Adali uses a curtain for sleep private time. Sorry to see you go Hayden. God’s blessings on you all. Safe travels back home Hayden. Merry Christmas to all of you.😘💖
😅Very Impressive Team! All of it was just wonderful to watch. Can’t wait to see the exterior and interior finished - it is going to be toasty warm in the winter season!
I love your work because it gives me ideas! One I just thought of is build the door form in two parts front to back. In-between those parts build the actual door frame. Then when you take it apart the door frame is already installed.
This would only work if you’re building with large boards, double bucking, and creating cross supports so it doesn’t loose its shape while tamping the earth bags.
Jonathan, the title of the video should have been Hyperadorable mini dome! Just saying! I don’t know how I am going to cope without Hayden 🥰 being in the videos!😢 But… I’m wishing you all a very “Merry” Christmas and the Happiest of New Year’s to you all! xXx 🙏🏼 now off to watch the video 😊
Good morning how are you guys doing this morning looks like it's a good weather out there here in California is kind of wet and muggy and wet out here hope you guys have a wonderful day looks like he's getting ready to go home to Australia but you guys have a great day and have fun while you guys are having a good Christmas and God bless you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
When you showed the door sketch near the beginning, I saw the "big" numbers and thought, "I'll bet they're using metric for the Hayden!" On my international trips, I have so many issues with temperatures and measurements since we are the ONLY country that doesn't use the metric system!
There are 2 others Liberia and Myanmar though not much of a comparison. They started teaching us the metric system in the mid 60's in elementary school but then it kind of disappeared.
Guys hold the hammer as far back as possible and it gives you more leverage and it’s much less effort. ❤️ Your videos Merry 🎅🏻 & a Happy 🎉🍾 New year. Dave
