Yes that would’ve been so amazing! We had the incredible group C and GT1 cars in the 90s that are so much pure than today’s hybrid stuff, but the content and accessibility to watching it got so much better! I love all this coverage on RU-vid!
That was absolutely amazing. I really loved the 30 min episode. I very much prefer this over the chopped up episodes of last year. Can't wait for the next one.
I want to say to the WEC organizers that they did a phenomenal job for this Championship!!! The races, the grid, the calendar, the drivers! the Marks !!! Everything is in place !!!! Greetings from Argentina!!
Yeah! I love this. I think it's a little bit sad that there was no mention of the amazing qualifying in GTE. I would've loved to get some views from the Iron Dames team. They had such an dramatic race with the t1 incident and all. Can't wait to see them win in Portimao
I can agree with that in regards to the GTE qualifying session and the Iron Dames, but you also have to remember they were on double duty that weekend because they were doing the 12 hours in a Lamborghini on the Saturday so maybe they were unavailable to film who knows
@@rory6065 oh right, forgott about that. Next race they'll get the coverage they deserve. Considering the several comments toward "there are microphones here" it could also be that they did not want to be covered. Either way, I thought the balance between Ben Keating and the other GTE Teams was quite scewed (probably for reasons we don't know but still)
@@herbertkraft7379The "no microphone" comment was towards Lilou Wadoux who doesn't drive for the Iron Dames. I'd guess they pick a team for every weekend and stick with them. Iron Lynx is an Italian team so Monza would make sense. Le Mans would also make sense obviously depending on whaz happens there and the pure length of the race.
@@Maenfy no there was a scene with the Ganassi Cadillac where i think they were debriefing with Alex Lynn and the comments of there's microphones about, maybe there's some paranoia about in that they think the camera and microphones crew are going to go running off to other teams and say psst this is what so and so are doing strategy wise
This is an amazing thing to have! I love looking into the inner workings of all the teams and I really wanted to see this sort of thing for WEC! This is exactly what we as fans want :)
Okay this is my new favorite segment of the wec besides the race itself. Looking forward to the amazing behind the scenes content for the rest of the season!
Excellent coverage. I like how this shows who everyone is and how they are in situations. You really do get the feeling of how important this is to the automotive industry and how much fan support there is for FIA WEC.
This is great! I’m a huge fan of IMSA so having access to great WEC content is awesome! Complements both sides of endurance racing and motorsports in general!
I do not follow WEC and just came here to watch this after the commentators of Le Mans mentioned the series. It is amazingly well done. Congratulations to everyone involved in the production. Alongside a thrilling Le Mans, this might just make start following WEC.
Love these full length episodes. Maybe honing in on some more drivers and amping up the editing and following more of the on track battles and this really has a lot of potential
There is a "Race Debrief" on the channel. I would bet that is the equivalent to the race reviews from last year (have not watched it yet, because I still have 2h left to watch of the race itself)
The LMP2 category has been completely ignored. A category thanks to which we have been able to enjoy real racing over the last years. You showed only one episode - the failure of the #23 car. I understand that from a marketing point of view it is all about the Hypercars now but don't forget that there are fans who are also interested in the LMP2 category, where we have the most evenly matched field and many excellent drivers. I hope you will change your approach in the next episodes.
it would have been nice to hear something from one of the united drivers on the failure of the car yes, but if there's no availability to talk because drivers had to be elsewhere then that's just the way it is, i'm sure we'll see more of them over the course of the season in some way or the other
I'm surprised people seem to have wanted these like this. I preferred the weekly ~10 min videos. But anyway, it doesn't really matter. These are great!
Overall this is excellent stuff, but the TV-show crash sound effects are cheesy, and clearly many people already know not to say too much when you're around ("be careful, there is a microphone")...
Apart from the cliché, vacuous interviews on "working hard" and "overcoming challenges", and the cringy dramatic music to create artificial drama for the "new era", the footage and some comments (Vadoux was onto something spicy there before they cut it short) were interesting.
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO FIA WEC WE LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF OUR HEARTS AND MINDS. Except steve over there, he's not cool. Just kidding steve you're still cool. (joke).
Excellent start for Ferrari. It is good to see that they are doing a fantastic job as a team. Unlike the F1 fiasco. Over tens years since the last championship. Poor leadership and driver choices...
