Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation - Goddess of Tari 

Knowing that Atari announced a new console recently, I can't help but laugh my ass off at this. Though it would be cool if Rei became a regular character in the franchise.

Tari's mad because ET exist.

I'm probably the only one who feels bad for Rei after I saw this 2 years ago like she didn't harm anybody she was just in the wrong place and wrong time.

If you are we.dering why she is claiming Planptune as her civilization, Planptune was once the City, Tari. Rei Ryights was the ruler and goddess of the city. However, one day, Tari was taken over by a virus. Everyone had to try to evacuate, but few made it out. It was claimed that Rei was found dead. Soon, The fight over the shares for each city began. (as you may remember, it was the fight between Lastation, Lowee, Leanbox and Planptune.)

And now the Atari is actually back.

Rei is still one of my favorite villains of the series. She had time on Gamindustri to act calm and innocent. So no one would ever suspect her. She is more powerful then any goddess. Which is why they had to fight her in a group. And she is the perfect refernce to the Atari game company which caused the great crash in the 80's. Almost destoying the entire game industry before it was even started. She maybe evil, but her goddess form is a very sexy upgrade.

This form is called the God of chaos. Blue heart or cyan heart was never mentioned in any of the lore.

I personally love the representation of Rei in the series due that is accurate for its in universe term, the Atari company was mainly the first videogame company that while they didn't invent videogames were the first to release arcade and home consoles for the sake of monetizing their industry, a complete generation 0 given its founder was better known for being a big con artist that had brains but mostly only used for petty scams, he was also the guy who came with the idea of animatronics despite he displayed them as a puppet show on tv. The whole company monopolized the early era of gaming industry and almost killed it for the sake of ultimate greed, signing really infamous deals with hollywood and other big industries, the most known one was how they went almost bankrupt with the ET game. The empire of Tari on the other hand is depicted as an ancient era empire that collapsed internally before all the other nations were formed, accurate to how atari stopped being a monopoly before the raise of formal companies like nintendo and sega joining the videogame industry, and almost killing the entire industry before the real actors appeared in their huge delusions, ego and arrogance. While atari didnt completely bankrupt it remains as a small company playing low profile always waiting for a time to come back, mostly with more low effort scams for the few people who have some loyalty to it.
