It's funny seeing how different everyone was in Neptunia compared to Mk2 onward. Nep wasn't as dumb, Noire had more of a harder Tsundere/Leave me alone personality, not to mention her voice wasn't as high pitched, etc. The games are still fun to play, but I just dislike how they changed basically everything. Sucks how the first game they make, the one that created the fanbase, is non-canon.
Ah yes.... the first Neptunia game. I remember first hearing Blanc and her potty mouth. Then later I found out she suppose to represent the Nintendo Wii which made me laugh.
I usually consider Purple Heart pretty much as "herself" and Planeptune as "its own land" (mostly in the later games, since those games don't bother to cover the Console War like the first one - this one in the video), since the Sega Neptune is a discarded project and Sega is not in the consoles business anymore (it might be the reason why Purple Heart lost her memory in this game) (I might reconsider that after Victory/Re;Birth 3, with how Lastation and Leanbox actually works in the "V Dimension" which is basically the 80's (1989, more specifically), but I haven't played those games yet, and I kinda don't want to get spoiled). But yeah, here in the original story (Console War) Purple Heart represents Sega Neptune and Planeptune represents Sega
Hope people know that if they're getting into the series, that this game isn't canon. if you want to know the canon of Neptunia start from mk2 and onwards (mk2, Victory, Victory II((VII)) ) Also one thing I noticed was that the artwork of Neptunia has more or less rounded out over the years, want to say that since victory the character art looks a lot better (Mk2 uses models in cutscenes....have fun with that)
Am I the only one here... Who likes the original because of its art style (more blacker and darker idk) than the remake (pinker and brighter) and its dialogue?
And, believe it or not, Mk2's story and setting apparently is much more serious, darker and sober-minded than the first one, because of the higher focus in the backstory and perhaps because of the absence of Neptune, Noire, Blanc and Vert (those who make the comedy to work(?)) in the party for a long time, making a huge contrast with the sequel (Victory), which appeals _much_ more to the side of the humour and colorfulness
these talking parts are helpful english-learning resouces for non native english speakers ^^ i'd use these games as english-learning stuff and i recently am getting into hyperdimension neptunia.
I don't know how, but this part reminded me of a scene from Red vs Blue. "How about you admit that the red team sucks?" "What if we admit that ONE of us sucks?" See? Neptune's the one in that scenario.
wtf is this game O_o I didn't even know it existed So basically, I've picked up that all of the consoles hate each other, and Neptune, the console that was cancelled, has to put a stop to all of it? It's ironic, because the console wars don't actually exist; despite the fanboys all hating each other and fighting for stupid reasons, and, correct me if I'm wrong, they're isn't really any unfriendly competition between them in reality. also, can they make a single visual novel-like game in Japan without talking about boobs? it's not even something to get offended about.
I can't believe everywhere I look, this game is still high despite how long it's been out! Is it really worth how much people are charging (excluding those who're trying to sell it at $100+. Those idiots can keep theirs far as I'm concerned)?
*sighs* Still a typical girly (shojo) rpg...I TRULLY think they make more perverted games then anything else. Though it REALLY looks fun and all pretty, but I hardly see any more REAL rpgs with amazing story lines and such. FF7 still being my top fav along with ff9 and 10
Well i work and i dont have anything left for me once i pay the damn bills for Apartment, water, electricity, internet and it barely leaves me with food in my mouth ... damn world we live in ... or maybe not world some countries has some serious issues like mine and other ones
I know you've posted this comment 7 months ago, so there may be a possibility that you've have but have you played Shin Megami Tensei games yet? They have great stories. especially Persona 4 and SMT III Nocturne. Absolute MASTERPIECES! :D
Does the game have any story resemblance to the anime. Cause I wanna knowing I have to watch the game before anime or if I can just dive right into the anime.
Zack B Actually she's not based on the real Sega Neptune, but a fictional 7th-gen console, just as Nepgear is a fictional 7th-gen handheld and Plutia is also based on a fictional console (Sega didn't use Pluto as a codename). Uzume Tennouboshi is literally the only character in the games based on an actual Sega console (which is funny because there's an upcoming crossover with Sega Hard Girls which also features a Dreamcast personification lol!)(Also her name appears to be based on Uranus for some bizarre reason, in spite of clearly having Dreamcast design influences). It's a bit strange really because by the time Dreamcast came out, they had stopped using planet names....
I thought the Sega Pluto didn't exist... Though that said I also now know that her CPU design actually represents every main sega console, just like all of the other ultradimension CPUs (not counting Hyperdimension Purple Heart for obvious reasons in spite of her co-ruling over planeptune in the ultradimention for a while after getting a CPU memory which would technically make her an ultradimension CPU). This means Orange Heart can't be based on the Dreamcast because Iris Heart has Dreamcast CPU parts("White Cast")....
They're names are colors actually. Neptune is the only one that's named after a console, every other one; Noire, Vert, Blanc, are french for black, green, and white.
i wonder why does GUST Incorporated always make some perverted games like ar tonelico series and this ?? doesn't mean it bad tho, i just need more games like that
I was considering getting this game.. Started checking it out. The girls are half-naked, thus a major drive of the game is the fan-service. Auto-reject since I've come in hopes of finding serious material.
