By far the best massage tool review I have watched. Complete with all the benefits, explanations and science, what's not to do, which time's best and when not to use this tool - needed it.

I have used alot of devices but this..., friend bought it and I sampled it, I cant rave about machine enough, their is so many gimmicky crap available, but using it on my injured areas ive had better results than most of the therapy ive received in the past. This coupled with physiotherapy and chiropractor exponentially will increase recovery.

Thanks for a very informative review, with, crucially for me, additional information on how best to use the Hypervolt. I'm looking for good information for how best to use the thing once you have access to one: the sorts of conditions and effects it's most effective for, the sorts of things that maybe other tools might be better for, that sort of thing. Your video has a lot of great info in that vein. My chiropractor had suggested, when I asked about using the Hypershere, that the slowest speeds might be best for the deepest work on the meatiest areas, with the fastest speed best for surface work/areas closer to bones. I'll check, but I suspect he'd provide the same advice about a percussive massager. Thanks again!

For how long on each musclegroup would you use it? Like on calves: start with ball/flat for 2-3 min then go 1-2 min with the bullet? Or does the muscles need more time for sufficent effect?

Informative video thanks. One question, I use mine to do two things, help reduce tension and subsequent pain associated with my IT band, and then post exercise recovery. My sport is cycling, so naturally focus on legs and pelvic area. One concern I have is using on my calf muscles as after years of cycling I've developed large prominent veins over the top of the muscle, and I'm extremely wary of applying any form of percussive pressure on them. Is this sensible, should I avoid them or can I use the gun, maybe gently / low speed. I have a different gun, which has a lower low speed than the hyperice, mine ranges from 1000bpm to 3200bpm in 5 steps. I'd really like to treat my calf muscles, as they are generally fatigued and over tight.

Hi,is this like shock wave therapy? Thanks
@SportsChiropractic
@SportsChiropractic 5 лет назад
It seems like it is similar but the depth of penetration (force) produced by shockwave is much greater. This is a more superficial (not as deep) treatment compared to shockwave. This is great for warming up tissue and fascia while shockwave can help with tendinopathy (scar tissue in muscles and tendons from chronic injuries)

My husband's muscles were extremely tight from lots of yard work on Wednesday so I used the Hypervolt on his trapezius muscles starting on Level 1 but ending up on Level 3 for at least 10 - 15 minutes (divided between both the right and left sides). He woke up in severe pain on Thursday morning that was like a crick but it hurts no matter what position he is in. The pain has persisted but has moved from the shoulder blade area to the neck on the left side. He has tried alternating between ice and heat and also Biofreeze but it's so bad he can hardly sleep. (An 8 out of 10 on the pain scale for 3 straight days). Do you think the Hypervolt irritated a nerve or damaged the muscle fibers because it was on too high a setting or used for too long? What should he do to heal the pain and how long do you think it will take? He has been taking ibuprofen and Tylenol but it doesn't help much. Should he get a deep tissue massage or would that irritate it even more? The nurse practitioner gave him a prescription for Diclofenac but it's not any better than the ibuprofen and he didn't want the muscle relaxer. Please help!

How does this compare to a product like compex?
@toddrodman8731
@toddrodman8731 5 лет назад
From what I know the compex is a h-wave electro therapy device used to pump the lymphatic system to rid the body of lactic acid and edema. The Hypervolt is different in that it uses percussion massage to reduce muscle tension. They both are great products but different. We use the Marc Pro in our office (similar to the compex) and have had great results with reducing acute swelling.

I don't get this shit. This is nothing new percussion therapy has been around for years. You can easily pick up a purewave "percussion massager" for 125.00 on amazon and does 3700 RPM. So why would i dish out almost 500 dollars for this?

CV a few of my friends bought one of those and that shit didn’t last long at all. Yeah, the hyper volt is a bit expensive but I honestly think it’s worth it and it’ll last longer than the “cheaper” ones.
